We need to finish what Sylvanas started

Finish what she started? You mean we should all throw ourselves off ICC and die?

No thanks.

I am not going to have a tawdry affair with nathanos.

Yeah so sytong that, when she ran away…AGAIN…the Alliance was just able to walk in UNCONTESTED , blather away and then leave in peace.
Uf this is the ‘strong’ Horde then I’ll just stay here, where we still have SOME pride!

I see you’ve thrown away all pretense that Sylvanas has any good left in her.

Or even further back, we should all power slide into pointy objects.

Is this the plot from A Bug’s Life?

In fantasy stories, attempting to alter the machinery of life and death always has consequences. Trying to kill death or become death, has even nastier consequences.

It seldom works unless there is genuine self sacrifice involved. The only way Sacrifice enters Sylvanas’ mind is WHO she can sacrifice for more power.

Subtle for them is a nearly naked and drunk dwarf, swinging a hammer, and yelling at you from 20 paces he’s going to smash your kneecaps in. That’s about as subtle as Blizzard gets most the time.

Your Horde got a chance to recover and move forward. A tentative peace can buy you time to lick your wounds and recover. And hopefully let calmer heads find a solution that lets your people survive.

Sylvanas’ Horde was all about her SACRIFICING as many of them to meet her goal of feeding a death god. At least there ARE still smart Forsaken.

Banner girl being among them.

As you said ,someone had to make a sacrifice I agree. From what i seen so far who made the switch with the orbitor and the jailor? Surely whoever did it is permanently dead.

Even video games bring up the idea that voluntary self sacrifice has power.

Ultima 7 for example. Old old game I know. But your companions fell under control of evil forces and did evil things. Trying to fix things and restore a shattered god(well, close to one as existed in the setting), they realized that a soul was needed. One of your companions chose to sacrifice himself. And it worked.

Sacrificing others grants power, yes, but its typically tainted and the results are twisted.

Considering she’s not dead dead but merely undead, I don’t see where you think she’s died more than when Arthas killed her.

All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. - Sun Tzu

I admit that movie did cross my mind when writing the OP

Hey, you. You’re finally awake.

You were trying to cross the border, right? Walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there. Damn you Stormcloaks. Skyrim was fine until you came along. Empire was nice and lazy. If they hadn’t been looking for you, I could’ve stolen that horse and be halfway to Hammerfell. You there. You and me - we shouldn’t be here. It’s these Stormcloaks the Empire wants. We’re all brothers and sisters in binds now, thief. Shut up back there! And what’s wrong with him, huh? Watch your tongue. You’re speaking to Ulfric Stormcloak, the true High King. Ulfric? The Jarl of Windhelm? You’re the leader of the rebellion. But if they’ve captured you… Oh gods, where are they taking us? I don’t know where we’re going, but Sovngarde awaits. No, this can’t be happening. This isn’t happening. Hey, what village are you from, horse thief? Why do you care? A Nord’s last thoughts should be of home. Rorikstead. I’m… I’m from Rorikstead.

…looks like the Thalmor are with him.

General Tullius, sir. The headsman is waiting. Good. Let’s get this over with! Shor, Mara, Dibella, Kynareth, Akatosh. Divines, please help me. Look at him. General Tullius the Military Governor. And it looks like the Thalmor are with him. Damn elves. I bet they had something to do with this.

Why are we stopping? Why do you think? End of the line. Let’s go. Shouldn’t keep the gods waiting for us.

Maybe Anduin and Baine are sharring secrets during pillow talk

Time to put ya down mate.

WTH, OP? Nah, we’re done with that.

Are there people who actually like Sylvanas, even as a character at this point? She feels like a old cartoon villain with the handlebar mustache, before there was sound, so they had to have a sound card of them laughing. Like, she has no personality at this point, and is just evil for the sake of trying to be the biggest villian in the series, getting random power boosts to just make her and her allies not able to lose.

A lot of us were hoping for additional depth in BFA but we don’t seem to be getting any, which seems like a waste. I’m not enthused with what they’ve done with her over the years. I would like shadowlands to prove me wrong but I’m not holding my breath.

… nah. :no_entry_sign:
