I think their main plan is going to be sell as many transfers as possible with the 30% discount, then we go into prepatch/launch, and probably half way through phase 1 they will open free transfers. Its just a last second cash grab. Only reason I could think of at least to give us 0 information about consolidation then suddenly release a discounted transfer as soon as prepatch is announced. Only thing this is gonna do is leave low pop servers in a worse condition than they already are.

I put it in the beta discussion because there have been many posts in cata general and no response.
its a been since late wrath the locked servers post, August last year Tom Ellis said they were working on guild transfers on twitter and the slow agonizing death of OCE servers thanks to blizzards incompetence not connecting rdf to US west.

It’s so frustrating to convince a guild to pay for transfers even with discounts cuz most people are just waiting to hear about realm consolidation
Highly doubt there will be an consolidations. Also probaly no new servers. Pagle is doing great if you are Alliance

Just assume it is not. Blizz still has not closed the realms they forced us off. if your realm is dead then transfer to Pagle or Mankrik
Which is exactly what happened to Grobbulus we were 40k+ 50/50 RPPVP server now we have 2k raiders.
It is kinda hard to assume it is not going to happen due to the fact that they did this same thing in WOTLK, they opened a 30% off sale for transfers, and shortly after it ended they opened up free transfers. This is the main reason people want actual confirmation from blizzard, because everyone knows they will take any chance for last minute money from panic then attempt to listen to their playerbase.

Instanced PVP not world PVP.
Really just merge Bene, Faerlina, Mankrik, and Pagle and one lovely PvE realm.
Leave Atiesh and Whitemane as smaller realms for people who like that. Have Grob be the only PvP realm with faction balance enforced (Merge Bloodsail into it).

Sincerely, as someone that plays on Mankrik id rather be merged with Faerlina than Alliance. That should be enough of a tell.

I’d much rather play on a dead server, than be merged with Faerlina, the realm of the worst possible players I’ve ever encountered in dungeons.

Will it would be a PvE realm so it wouldn’t matter much if there was Alliance. The suggestioin was ultimately so there would be “If Horde” and “If Alliance” recommendations which is dumb in my opinion. It would simply be Go X unless you like smaller realms then go Y and if you want W PvP go Z. Basically the mega realm, the small realm, and the PvP realm.
All we really need.
It would matter because you would be competing for resources with a faction you can’t interact, so only mostly negatives.
I don’t see the point to, the logical solution is to merge pve realms of the same faction.
Pvp realms are a bit more complicated as you could try to merge them to make pvp a thing again but most likely you’d have to create free transfers to pve at minimum and I would see people leaving to pve realms but might be worth the risk if they want a real pvp realm with grobb population being as low.
I don’t care what they do as long as whatever server I end up on still has an RP PVE tag
