We need some better windows with an animated view/scenery like the Seaside Depths Porthole (currently not available). They have the technology. I know we can make our own scenic windows, but it’s sooo much work and doesn’t look as good.
I also would love to for blizzard to give us the option to decrease how much glare/shine comes out of the current windows.
We just got two new ones, I think? Maybe mixed in the Westfall vendor.
I’m ready for new windows too. The light can be different colors, and some could be muted. Still, making my own (hello pandaren net) can be a lot of fun too.
I was just thinking today while contemplating how to fake a view in one of my rooms that we really should have “magic” or “enchanted” windows with a view.
Even more amazing would be if it was gently animated…. and extra super cool would be if there were ones for some of the more cherished zones like Grizzly Hills, Valley of the Four Winds, etc.
I know that would probably be a lot of work for the artists, but come on, seriously, how awesome would those windows be?!
Personally, speaking only for myself, I don’t care for any of the window options we have right now. I don’t like how they appear, or how the light comes from them. That said, at the very least we should be able to turn their lighting on and off, so we have the window appearance, but maybe we want it to look like night outside. If I’m being honest, I find if kind of weird that we don’t have a lot more options in regards to things like windows, doors, doorways, walls, floors, ceilings etc…just basic stuff. I get only having a few right away, but I figured we’d at least get more generic stuff more often.
Can I just get that warm, orange glow version of the Goldshire window that they showed in the Housing panel???
My wishlist is to have windows that appear to be deeper and have a scene going on, or windows the light can be adjusted on (either on/off, dimmable, or dyeable).
The current windows are neat, but there’s not a lot of variety beyond BLAST BLUE LIGHT.
