Even though Iām not a fan of micro breeds. My dog will (hopefully) live 15 years.
Heās not an outside dog. Hes a chonky happy doge. Just like every dog ive had hes a rescue and enjoying being a companion. Hes on the bigger end 10 lbs (chihuahuas run many sizes). The only things that suffer are his dog toys.

Even āalpha dogsā run into that problem. Inbreeding is so common in Dalmatians thatās why many are deaf. Inbreeding is very prevalent also in Bulldogs and pits and many other breeds.

Putting a collar on one and naming it Fifi doesnāt suddenly negate the fact that chihuahuas were originally bred as a food source.
I love dogs, but those tiny yapper types arenāt real dogs to me.
