We need another class. Its time. And it needs to be a caster

They can’t even balance what already exists. Creating more work around this issue isn’t a good idea. If anything they need to delete some specs.

Vampire class…
That as necromancer spells

Precisely. Because it cannot happen. There are too many variables. Unless you remove those variables, perfect balance is not achievable. You can - and should - pursue that goal, but it needs to be understood that should it ever be achieved, it would be indicative of a stagnant, unchanging, flavourless, and boring game.

As such… that “no class before balance” argument is asinine.

Clearly you didn’t understand what I said.

Management want features that can be marketed on a box. These are exemption from being dictated by community whining. The almighty dollar > forum whining. That’s not pride, that’s just good business sense.

However, for features that don’t have a dollar price associated with them, Blizzard are immensely flippant about it. One expansion we’ll have an explosion of loot, the next we’ll have no loot, or we’ll have no vendors, and then we’ll have BIS raid gear purchased from PvP vendors. Blizzard is giving players whiplash because the design philosophy on loot changes so flippantly. They have no pride in their itemization system and will do whatever it takes to get people to stop whining. I wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of the expansion titanforging in some form was back because of whining about the current loot economy.

Do more specs, not another class. Give DH the third spec that got cut.

Tinkerer, mail armor class, intellect primary stat, focus on zone support and pets.

Eh. I’d rather have them focus on the ones we have, personally. New spell effects and cosmetics and stuff to sort of refresh things.

This cannot be emphasized enough. I try to make this point when talking about potential class additions - the suits want that unity of concept. You put Death Knights in the Lich King expansion. You put Monks into Pandaria expansion. You put Demon Hunters into the Burning Legion expansion. The messaging is clear and unmuddled.

Yet there are still those that will insist that we could yet have a Bard in the Shadowlands expansion. Or a Tinker in Battle for Azeroth. Sorry, but that’s not a neat package for the marketing suits.

2021 and we still only have two classes that use mail.

Now, that’s cool! <3

I want my outlaw rogue to be a gunslinger, dual pistols blasting away from medium range.

Also, available to all races. They can either go the “empowered mortals” route, or have the class be literal playable dragons in a chosen mortal form. In any case, the concept is open to everyone.

I think bronze dragons should be healers. Imagine using time magic to revert damage and heal allies?! NOOICE!

A new healer class would be cool.

I think 1-2 more specs may be in line, a new class however doesn’t seem like the greatest idea given there are so many right now. They could make a mail and cloth tank spec, yet I wouldn’t advise in making a whole entire new spec.

There’s potential, there, but I also think we could use a “Dervish”-type class. Add in the ability to call in a double from the future or past for backup, and some time-themed, skill-based utility (ie. defensive CD to return health to where it was 5 seconds ago), and you have yourself a pretty unique concept…

Tinkers. Ranged dps, healer, melee dps and tank. Druids shouldn’t be the only 4 spec class.

Give us a bard.

I mean you say that but we were also good with 11. And good with 10. And good with 9.

And they might already be thinking up another class for the next expansion or the one after that if they want a break again.
