We listend...except we didnt

Honestly, I still think Blizz should have approached the evokers the same way they did older demonology warlocks where you shifted in and out of meta a lot. Visage form by default, then shift to dragon during moments of high power. Makes it feel like dragon form is unleashing your true strength. Then everyone that loved the dragon form could have lobbied for a permanent dragon glyph or something, and we would have cheered you on until everyone was happy. Really, I would be all for giving people what they want even if i wasn’t going to op in myself.

Given the sheer discrepancy between the customization of the two forms, it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case at some point the design. The dragon form just feels so slapped together and the lack of tmog is just inexcusable. Unrelatedly, where are my infinite flight colors? Considered I leveled my current evoker in Panda Remix, that would have perfect.

Regardless, if they approached it from the angle from the visage as default, then it would have also open the door to other race visage fairly easily. Like you choose whatever race as normal in creation, but then choosing evoker just means you were really a dragon this whole time. It creates so many opportunities for players to come up with their ideal character story.

Alas, we are saddled with
whatever you want to call this situation.

i would be so much better with this as it doesnt ruin my transmog which is all i really care about.

this is why i refer to them as a lazy design poor execution or the mcdonalds at home lizard. it doesnt feel like a fully fleshed out thought just something that was slaped together at the last min.

Visage is a race thing and it doesn’t work like that for ANY race. Worgens can’t be humans in combat, VElves can’t unvoid their passives when it procs, Mechagnomes always have a metal body part, Highmountain Taurens will always have distinguishable horns and so it goes. You choose Dracthyr because either you wanna play Evoker or you wanna be a dragon, not because you wanna be a mildly scaled humanoid with horns and dyed hair.

I agree that’s stoopid, I’m okay for not gathering while Soaring but wouldn’t mind being added too, but truly a 10s for a mount up is literally unecessary.

But honestly, I would rather like them to spend their resources on fixing the class design of Evoker instead of the comestic changes for Dracthyr. They won’t make visage work in combat because of clarity and they want dragons to be dragons, there are plenty of humanoid races to choose from, why make a dragon for it to be mostly humanoid anyway?

Just have to take the time to say I agree with PB–that allowing the option of permanent visage would be a great way to address this ‘issue.’ That being said, you seem to be deliberately making this a personal issue. How does someone else’s perma-visage decision (or even just having the option) directly affect you if you aren’t interacting with them?

Have a evoker alt, the soar to me makes no sense, race with natural wings needs to “cast” their soar and it sucks compared to regular mounts and especially against the druid
why was this a design decision? was it as simple as “lets make sure its not the same as druids” different for differences sake? lammeee
I especially hate landing and having to recast it and still have a 10 or 5 sec cd (which atleast thats better than when they launched) but still hella annoying and pointless
druids who SHAPE SHIFT INTO A BIRD dont deal with this crap.

What bugs me the most about the whole “you choose a dragon class” argument is that if you like the class design, it’s the only choice you have.
Your transmogs are just non existent in dragon form, except for shoulders which often doesn’t fit well because your transmogs are usually made to match visage form.

If an entire class is to be restricted to one race, then we should at least get to fight in visage form permanently.
I get transforming for Deep Breath or Verdent Embrace, but other than that abilities should be given visage form animations, including hover.

If you don’t like any class’s aesthetics, it’s the only choice you have if you want to play that class.

Druids are in form for feral.

Priests are in form for shadow.

Just use one of the many perma-transforming toys.

Because they are narcissistic control freaks who can’t tolerate differing opinion. I’m here because I want what most people want, character esthetic options. Instead we’re being dragged into manifestos about how dracthyr females aren’t sexy enough

Player feedback is how this game has gotten better. There was a time when transmogs didn’t exist and you couldn’t alter your character’s look after you created them. And back then there was always contrarian incels saying:
“If you equipped an item, that’s the look you get, live with it.” Or “You want to change your haircut, make a new character!”

If these people had their way, the game would never improve

Priest are hardly in the same situation and it also exists a glyph so you can look at your character in shadow form.
There was also a time when resto druid were forced in tree of life and Blizzard removed it for both gameplay reasons and visual diversity.
