so instead of the prebuilt AI bots, we would choose four of our own characters to join in the run instead?

I didn’t know they could do that - hence why one asks questions on the forums from more experienced players that area. Have you ever taught anyone anything? or have kids? No such thing as a stupid question, just the fear of not being able to ask because someone might try to humiliate you.

Yes, I learned long ago that many people will post questions on the internet before taking the time and thinking it through for themselves. I blame the modern education system.
Many of us are old. This isn’t a “modern education system” issue. You do know that posing questions for help is a thing in this world, yes? When someone doesn’t even understand the concept of a thing, they cannot just “think through it for themselves.” We ask, we learn, we gain knowledge.
Not wanting to do that nor wanting to help others is a failure of the modern education system and society.

That would be pretty neat. What would happen if you do not have a tank, or healer in your warband? Will you be able to respec your characters?

It doesn’t. I tried it out just last week. XP from doing the dungeon with followers can’t compete with the random que bonus and the group bonus you get when grouping with other players and it wasn’t even close - less than a 1/4 of an xp bar vs 2/3 of an xp bar and the dugeons take way longer with followers
If you want to level through dungeons use the dungeon finder and play with others - the ques aren’t even very long, not even for DPS
If it were genuine curiosity, you wouldn’t have worded it the way you did. Thus, people are snipping back at your snark.

Well there’s your answer. Some people like the idea of their alts being the NPCs because it’s a game. Games should be played for fun. If someone gets more immersed in the game if their alts are NPCs in a dungeon let them have their fun. Should not be your concern anyway how others play.
I won’t be using it either for the same reason but also because I don’t like my characters being controlled by anyone but me (cut scenes where this happens drive me bananas; my hunter just saved Khadgar in Surama and I was like wtf because she would not have made that choice) and having my characters only do dungeons together makes no story sense for them.
But I would use it if there was an option to pick specific follower/s from my Garrison or Order Hall and then have the game fill in any unused spots, as they are not my characters, I don’t control them any way and there are followers, from the Garrison at least, that already feature in my characters’ personal and open world adventures/stories.
