We have thoughts on tomorrow's major announcement?

I have avoided Raiding and for the most part Mythics since the end of Legion.

The MMO part of the equation is that you need to deal with the community day in and day out. Questing is part of that but everything has become just a ratrace to get to the end …there is no “end” in a MMO people.

A new race that is faction neutral. You can play as either Horde or Alliance. Flying Shadow Monkeys. And a new playable class Dark Rangers.

Damn now you planted an idea that makes me excited to think about, which won’t happen. Which will just disappoint me.

Why do you hate me so much?

Is it bad that I thought the same thing?

Do you read wowhead?

its going to be a boiled down and normie version of that minus all the spoilers that get talked about here.

What’s the opposite of Normie? Gen Z meme-making edgelord?

No, I don’t read Wowhead.

Honestly my guess is pretty tame:

-Shadowlands release date
-Beta starting afterwards

Now, I would LOVE if they also revealed another YouTube series (like the Lords of War or Warbringers) for some story. I know the book comes out next week, but I really adore the art of those videos they put up for the last three expansions, and I would love to see more of those.

Outside of that, I don’t trust Blizzard to do big reveals anymore. The last one that really fell flat for me was Teldrassil’s burning, and I still haven’t forgiven them for hyping that up when everyone already knew what was going to happen.

Speaking as someone who has had to carry the water for every dumb idea a CEO had, despite being warned, I have sympathy for those who have to go out on stage/camera and sell a giant pile of crap as something else.

Oh for sure, there’s no denying that. But I stand by many game companies need to read the room, and maybe just not hype it as much if people have already figured it out. Personally, that whole tree issue will cement itself in my head whenever I think WoW and “twists.” They’ve lost my trust entirely, and even if it WAS the employees trying to make up for a blunder of the higher ups, it’s still a mark of how out of touch they were for BfA.

Still, they aren’t beyond redemption. I’ll still be hopeful.

You should have your posting privileges removed just by writing that omg!!1 :scream:

they will announce beta and then the launch date which it will be in the 4th quarter im hoping for nov 10.

there is no point to stay subbed to wow right now until shadowlands launch the game doesnt have 5 months left in it and classic wow is meh with only 2 raids left and premade pvp.

they should have done a 8.3.5 to keep more people subbed.

Hoping that Ion the lawyer will be replaced tomorrow.

fingers crossed

UwU cutie.

BFA is one of those things that, in hindsight, we’ll be thankful for because I guarantee it was a hard-won lesson for them, too.

I don’t work for Blizzard, I’ve never worked for Blizzard, and unless they open a Boston office, I don’t aspire to work for them. But from the outside, they seem to have a major project management issue that is starting to show in customer retention. If nothing else, BFAs failings have seemed to put more emphasis on this.

That’s not fair. Having been laid off once in my life where I didn’t qualify for unemployment, I can tell you that I wouldn’t wish a termination on my worst enemy.

Probably a Shadowlands Collector’s Edition reveal on the WoW website.

Also I expect we’ll learn more about the Maw, Soulbinds, Conduits, and the Legendary system.

Hoping for new race class combinations! :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

I don’t know, but you know what probably won’t be announced? Shadow Priests being fixed finally, and doing away with Void Form.

I can only hope. They should take lessons from Hello Games. No Man’s Sky was more of a disaster than anything Blizzard has put out, yet Hello Games decided to refocus their efforts on improving the game, and while it’s nowhere near amazing, I’d say it’s a serviceable and playable game now. Because they had that epic failing at the start they definitely learned from it. Blizzard needed some humbling, and the last few years has hopefully shown that as a company they are not infallible.

I will say, Shadowlands has so far seen a good amount of communication and blue posts. I don’t think it’s even close to ready for launch yet, and I’m worried that they’ll plug their ears with Covenants like they did with Azerite, but they have been communicating more with near weekly blue posts and updates. I’m hopeful that tomorrow will give us some good information, too.

This is possible. I don’t know that it’s big enough for an announcement, but I do hope it happens.
