We dont mind removing portals as long as you replace them

I have seen this going on in the forums for sometime. People upset that Blizzard has been removing portals from pevious hub zones. From what I have seen from the GM post, Blizzard believes we are upset that you are moving portals out of the hub zones, that is not the case.

The big issue is the NOT the fact you are removing portals from old hub areas it is the fact you are NOT putting replacement portals of those that ya removed in the new portal hub.

Some of these portals ever very useful for simple convenience reasons. Let us take for example, the caverns of time portals in new and old Dalaran. Those portals allowed easy access to SIX Instances and TWO raids. By removing them and nor putting a new Caverns of Time portal in the new portal hub means HUNDREDS of moggers, mount farmers, and achievement hunters have now been MASSIVELY inconvenienced. This can easily be solved by adding a Caverns of Time Portal to the new portal hub.

Some even may not make sense at first but are quite valuable. Let us take for example the Dalaran crater portal. This has been a LIFESAVER for Alliance players during the Love is in Air event, who (short of a long fly) cannot reach Pyrewood Village to the do the dailies there. Again this anger can EASILY be eased by adding a new Dalaran Crater portal in the new portal hub or allow a temp portal to Pyrewood to be available to Horde and Alliance during the event.

So in conclusion if you want to remove portals from old hub zones, be our guest All we ask in return that for EACH Portal to a new area you remove a portal TO THAT AREA is added to the new portal hub.

Exactly. People wouldn’t be as upset if they were simply going “ok, we’re moving portals, we’re not deleting portals, we’re just moving them to a central location.”

But, its sadly a done deal and they’ve ignored two threads that are almost 10k posts between them.

Portals can still be added. So no it is not a “Done deal” yet.

One can hope. But considering Blizzard’s reputation the past 2-3 years … I’m not holding my breath. I have more faith that my cat will learn how to speak Swahili.

I would have been ok with the whole thing if they just left the lower Dalaran Portals alone. I mean Oculeth said he was going to create a Telemancy Bureau so I’m happy he got his wish but the Lower Dal Portals were so useful it’s going to be painful breaking the habit of trying to use them to farm in outland.

EXACTLY those portals should have been added to the new portal hub.

100% or just left in lower Dal. I can’t even think of which of those portals would have been an issue for them.
