As far as blizzcon goes I think there is virtually nothing they could announce that would make people who are obviously burnt out happy
Back in MoP there were daily quests, fishing, gathering, exploring to do, same as now to a point, but professions weren't a hopeless joke. I also had flying to do all those things, rather than having to taxi, ride, get dismounted, get killed by mobs, taxi back and catch a boat to an island with even less flight points, ride, get dismounted, find I can't get to where I need to, so waste 5 minutes going another way etc etc.
Considering that despite all that extra frustration, I really don't feel I'm achieving very much, the motivation to keep doing it just evaporates.
