Hello all, just wanting to express some current frustration with Bgs and blitz ques and even solo shuffle.
So for background i have been playing this game on and off for the last 17years on the same Character. Only playing pvp, I recently came back to the game and brought my sons along to play that’s all the good stuff now for the bad…
PLAYERS try to understand how this game works! its been out for too long for such a large amount of players to play so awful. play the objectives… learn to follow strategies and if you don’t know the objectives or need a Strat? Ask your fellow teammates its so silly to be quiet for the 2 mins before the fight starts and QQ in the first 5 mins in the match what ever the complaint is. IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO GUIDE YOUR TEAM!
also follow the objectives and the Strat your team comes up with… i mean going against the plan makes a loss for everyone not just you.
Please stop queing for blitz without ever doing a random bg and learning the basic ins and outs of these battle grounds. Please learn the objectives and then get into rated content… All in all Just watch a video , look up specs for your toon . learn how to play and have fun! Those that know what they are doing ? LEAD ,follow strats stop playing like trash and blaming the game developer or the faction your are in… with a little effort we can win! OH ONE LAST THING STOP STAYING “JUST LET THEM WIN” sheesh just leave the group and let someone else try to get a win, stop farming losses its gross.
we need to make getting into pvp harder
ban all casuals*
*casual: anyone without at least 3 r1 titles and less than 5 hour gametime daily
i feel you tho, but thats actually it, the casual playerbase for wow is just way more casual than other games because there are many other game modes (i.e. pve) so its even more abysmal
an infinitely small % of players come to the forums too. I think we’re all sweats here
I said it before - and I’ll say it again… BG Blitz should have an Honor Level requirement in order to queue up. I’m not talking about Honor Level 2,000 or anything - but Honor Level 5 players shouldn’t be in there.
You wut?
100% agree. I believe Blitz is designed to introduce casual random bg players to rated contents. If you regularly play random bgs, you’ll become very familiar with Blitz, from objectives and strategies to teammates’ behavior, sometimes even more so than seasoned rbg players.
If you’re a new player, please play some random bgs before jumping into Blitz. Random bgs not only help you gear up, but also serve as a great warm-up for Blitz.
id prefer a certain amount of regular games played for each map before jumping into the rated or blitz versions.
like 50.
Rated is exactly where people should go to learn. Not sure why everyone thinks rated = tryhard. You don’t have to try hard in rated if you don’t want to, because your rating will reflect this. Sub 1600 brackets exist and I promise they aren’t filled with people who try. Doing randoms isn’t going to make it easier to learn because you aren’t going against players the same rating as you
It’s like if you want to learn arena and people say you should play arena skirms before ever stepping into arena. Why? In skirms you’ll get everyone from the worst players in the game to the best. If you have to play the best when you’re learning you probably won’t even understand what happened to you let alone learn something from it. But if you’re an 1100 player playing other 1100 players you will likely pick up on some things. Or, even if you don’t, at least it will be more fair
In the end if you’re playing with all these “terrible players” you either just
a. haven’t played enough games to get out of your placement games
or
b. are also one of those players and just don’t want to admit it
I will agree though it sucks when other players are starting out and they’re in their placement games while I’m starting a new toon, but it happens to both sides. You just move on
I know you’re asking nicely but majority of the playerbase doesn’t care. If they can get away with it they’re going to do it unfortunately.
Yeah……no way I am against this thread. Not the person just stating my position on a good post. Just because I don’t agree doesn’t mean it’s not valid.
I don’t want blizz to be let off the hook. They orchestrated all this. From cubical crawls to borrowed power systems, failed xpansions (we don’t talk about bfa or sl ever again). To watching ion kick the doors open for Pay to win, basically ion sold the soul of creativity for the sake of token sales. Plus he refuses to put any resources to our beloved PvP game.
So no. What we have is toxic communities, ruin ed low population and subs, and it’s not the players fault. Don’t give blizz a pass that’s what they want!
They should have to get a permit from blizzard too. As well as a 5 our assessment of their skills and a blood sample before queing too. Required.
Ehhhhh have you played other games? I started a smurf account to play with a friend in rocket League. Bronze-gold players are suuuuuper casual and bad and also make up the majority of the population. The majority of most games are bad players. Just kinda how it is.
My dude, it sounds like you need to chill out a bit. Get better yourself. You’ll eventually climb out of the pit that is low rating. If you can’t climb it’s because you’re exactly where you belong believe it or not.
Pretty much. Random BG’s are okay for learning but being in low gear against premades isn’t any better of a place to learn than rated blitz.
People just gotta not be afraid to ask questions. Unfortunately so many are afraid to say anything. We got people getting suspended out here for reccommending strats before matches start up for crying out loud. People be getting reported for anything and everything these days, and whats crazy is the reports just willy nilly suspend anyone.
Plot twist: Rated Battleground died this expansion, Friday and Saturday there are 8 groups maximum in search engine setting up. What content do you want to introduce people to?
Listen to what Ion said about BGB and BGs before going into TWW.

Look at how things are going. Everything is great.
This is also Ion in 9.1 about solo queue

The big concern with matchmaking is that WoW is, unlike a lot of other games that have matchmaking, where in Overwatch and in a MOBA like League, you might play different champions, different heroes. In wow you are your class, and that’s not something you can change, and composition matters tremendously for group success. So if we randomly match you with teammates that don’t seem like a good combination of classes or who you would prefer, I don’t know that that’s going to be the most fun experience, and so we prefer to give players control over who they group with, but we also want to make it easier for them to find friends and companions.
multi rank 1 DH pvp who plays 12 hours a day thinks about pvp lol…

WoW PvP is cooked:
- Outdated reward structure
- Gotta play FOTM to have fun
- BGB rating has no integrity; you’re 3k mmr after 5 wins
- Illusions are invisible
- Mount is d***** and reserved for the top 0.1%
- Shuffle Q times are 5 business days
- No accountability for griefers
Plunder & SoD:
- Low budget
- Great communication
- Tons of hotfixes
DF PvE:
- Massive budget
- No communication
- rare hotfixes
DF PvP:
- No budget
- No communication
- GIGA RARE hotfixes
Seeing how I can access the wow forums from every expansion and see the constant promises/lies for pvp since its inception on the waybackmachine website. I know “hope” is dead and their current copy/paste formula is safe and efficient enough for them to continue to profit off WoW.
I’m talking about the effective non ability to follow objectives that makes the game a pain to play mostly randoms i don’t see this issue that often in blitz or rated.
I have plenty of play time and decent enough skill. its not skill I’m talking about but the will to play correctly.
I’m curious with how much they push and use the talking head pop up box on your screen. Why they didn’t add that to BGB and Arena. Give players tips and tricks to use per map. Tell the new players how to objective. I mean anything… at this point.
Most of the casual players are just after saddles, so you get to deal with folks who are just grinding to fill that bar up.
I was mainly replying to this and the people above me
You’re going to get every kind of player at 1500-1600, you’re in the more populated range of MMR. There are definitely going to be a lot of players who don’t care about pushing rating or winning
I hear what you’re saying. For example, much of the problem in epic BGs is with soloers who give up at the first hint of them needing to make an effort to win. But they blame it all on “premades.”
