Just trying things out, the instructions on WCL are not working for me.
The person in the linked post was successful after posting so I’d thought I’d try as well. Still receive the error “This character does not belong to any guild. Guildless characters cannot be claimed.”
Any advise?
It’ll probably work now, since you’ve selected this character and made a post, even though it should work without having to create a post.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE A POST TO IMPORT.

It literally says in the instructions right there:
In order to create a forum activity page for your character, you need to go to the Blizzard forums and select your character. That’s it! You do not have to make a post. Once you have the character selected as the active one on the Blizzard forums, the activity page for the character will be created.
