He asked you for the POSITIVES about the system. Zero of these bullet points are positives. You mentioned mage AOEing the crates. That doesn’t break that posters immersion and doesn’t affect him in any way. You just said that due to class envy. You don’t like that mages can aoe farm. Still doesn’t answer his question.
You literally did not list ANY positives as he asked. You listed one bullet point as follows:
I have to go back to town anyways(basically)
This isn’t a positive. This is just “what it is”
You keep saying trading and social aspect. This doesn’t even matter dude and isn’t a positive. Trading and socializing is going to happen wether these boxes are in or not
So let’s get you back on subject:
What are the positives of this crate system. Because he and I and likely other viewers are still looking for an answer from you
As you are the sole individual still hell bent on defending it, for whatever reason
It’s really strange behavior
Also, lookup Shredder Turbocharger and read the passage correlation to runes.
After literal hours of running around killing random mobs while grabbing flight points and doing some misc quests, I finally found another crate…for 14 freaking silver skeleton keys
I really hope they do something to alleviate the honored grind. Locking the runes at honored is such a disappointment compared to other runes in SoD. I thought the crates were cool and a nice side thing til it was shown that a bunch of really good/necessary runes were locked at honored.
I currently got friendly and then learned that after farming more crates they stopped giving rep unless they are the T3 (ilvl25) crates which I feel have such a small drop rate compared to the others since I only have ever found 2 of them. Either they need to let you turn in low tier crates for rep at friendly or up the t3 crates drop rate and rep given. Plus holding more than 1 at a time would be huge since farming one > then running to a city turn it in > running back to a farm spot is so painful.
The Shredder Turbochargers is an item for a quest that gives you access to buy the runes from a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT vendor. Something completely separate from the Supply Officers.
I addressed every issue raised. Not everything has to be net positive. If this is the way you’re looking at things, do quests need more positives. They just are. Should quests even have objectives? Should they auto complete when you pick them up? Should you just level 60 when you make your character and when you want into the raid Ragnaros just dies, or wait maybe not even walk to the raid. There should just be a button that says “Kill Ragnaros” and then they deposit the gear in your inventory.
Somethings require work. They don’t all have to be positive, you’ve made things out to be way worse then they are by looking at them in a 1-dimensional fashion.
What’s annoying as well is that there’s no tier system in place for them, unless I’m blind. You could fill a box up, turn it in and get no rep unless you turn one in of the next “tier”
I mean keep crying if it helps you sleep ig. You wanted a discussion but you’re plugging you ears and screaming. I just listed a positives. Uses for white unsellable items and now you just want everything to work for you without issue.
Yes, I’m the mad one. You’re the one watching for my type responses lol. We samesies.
Why don’t you say it a little louder I don’t think you’ve convinced yourself yet. Everyone still here just wants to circleup and moan about how hard playing a game is.
I actually have been enjoying the crates as a little side activity i do everytime i hit town, drop off an empty crate. Eventually i will get the rune, but I am not in any rush. Same with the rune locked behind the super chargers
Hearth set to org, quick drop off every hour or so.
However if i was focused on getting those runes then i could see how the system is obnoxious, especially in early days of the server when profession items are expebsive to AH if possible at all.
It feels like the Ion style of design to create a false representation of player metrics. We all know how much he loves his little charts. “See, all the players participating in this arbitrary grind? They must enjoy it, right?!”
Fun has nothing to do with it. It’s just stringing players along with mandatory crap. It’s too bad because there are a lot of fun things in SoD. Now I’m trying priest and it’s really cool. Some fun interactions with other priets. More lore stuff.
But these boxes are a huge swing and miss. They need to be gone and forgotten in the next phase.
So, you need 9000 rep to go from Neutral to Honored. You get 300 for turning in a filled shipment, or 100 for just turning in an empty crate. 30 freaking boxes to unlock a rune? Or 90 if you don’t fill them. Is that right? Whoever designed this…shouldn’t be designing things.
