Way too many anti-melee mehcanics in horrific visions

Oh mb i was just making light of the situation like usual :joy: look at the post above mine

How often do hunters need to stand still and cast? I know about MM’s Aim Shot and that’s it.

Anti-melee = anything that force them out of melee range of their target

Anti-caster = anything that forces the caster to move, breaking and preventing casting.

Anti-hunter =

Tried it on my Pally and Warrior and thought that each final boss was just absurd for melee. I barely have time to melee when I have to dodge 80 billion mechanics.

Switched to Warlock and it became pretty easy, even if there’s still too much CC in general.

Aimed Shot is about it, but that is a good amount of standing still. If you aren’t rocking Improved Streamline, it’s a significant amount of time.

BM and Surv don’t have that problem except I guess Fury of the Eagle? I don’t know Surv so I have no idea if that’s the meta or not. I know bombs are important!

Not really anti-melee so much as just anti-fun for everyone.

Besides falling asleep at the computer I dunno what’s anti hunter tbh

Darn those Demon Hunters and their mobility.

Feel like only rexxar and the last boss with all 4 zone affixes is an issue

While I have issues with the instant cast sanity drain that the miniboss does, there is a significant telegraph on the split personality incapacitate guys spawning in where the screen gets tinted.

Rexxar sucks, he’s the only thing in there you gotta dps slowly

I’ve tried up to 5 masks as a few things. A 650ish DH alt played as havoc that has tank trinkets since I was making it veng that I barely play has a much easier time than my 675 priest. Guardian druid has an easy time 5 masking this week at 670, though kills slower than 650s havoc. I also tried my Druid as balance but it felt like it was easier as Guardian.

I see a balance druid did it last week when it was much harder, but it involved a lot more effort doing big pre-planned pulls with ursol’s to burst them before they could get to you. The guy in the video was also 682 ilvl I think. This week I don’t have to go in with much of a plan and it’s much easier as a tank or bursty melee DPS than it is for a healer or caster DPS.

I tried it as a healer with the tank NPC also, but things hit really hard when they do hit you still and the tank didn’t help enough to make up for the extra health I don’t think.

Only im so freakin focused on speed i run into the spawn mounted all the time :joy:

I do that too, honestly. If nothing is hitting me it’s usually just as fast to eat them and keep going.

That’s the real game changer, the screen fades ever so slightly while you’re paying more attention to all the other crap going on around you to never notice and boom. Walked or mounted right on into it.

It’s by design for sure. They know us by now lol

They know me well enough, because my brain sees it, ignores it and then gets mad at myself for eating it.

They aren’t anti-melee mechanics when ranged classes also have to face tank the mobs.

having to hold damage for phasing is a failure of design by developers imo, taking your hands off the keyboard should never ever be the optimal strategy.

No it isn’t lmao.
