The title might as well read the sky is blue
I said bear form tanking makes sense. Monk tanking is no bueno. Demon hunter is no bueno. Lock tanking is ofcourse no bueno hince why they had to nerf meta with SL.
Paladin warrior shaman with shield and bear form druid should be only tanks specs.
Everything else just causes massive balance issues
Instead of nerfing WotE they should have given every class a WotE like rune. It would work for tanking and slow down PVP with it being a choice.
Fury Prot was an emergent playstyle as opposed to intended.
The Way of Earth change was a good change and they should introduce a rune that makes warriors tank with a shield too.
Tanks shouldn’t be DW or 2h, except as a meme spec. The fact that fury prot DW tank even exists is a failure of balance.
that is exactly what DW sham was too bro lol
Precisely this. I hardly expected blizzard to have the raid Solo healable aswell.
Except, elemental can still use it so if it was about dps not being able to use it blizzard really sucks at what they do.
I am sorry that you have such a narrow band that you labeled as good and declared the rest as bad. Narrow thinking is more likely to make people sadder than not, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Still, you are entitled to your opinions, as am I. Tanking as a warlock is great fun for me, even with the nerf, and undoubtedly the most enjoyable experience I have had with wow in literally years.
No, every other tank class has some draw back, either they have to throw on a shield, they lose other abilities, they lose single target damage, or they trade something to get to their tank build. Shamans had literally nothing to lose by using that rune. The shield requirement is perfectly fine for this nerf. Shamans were SO broken because of it that most servers had locks on rolling new horde characters because everyone was rolling shaman. Shamans had it coming.
No they didn’t. There was 100+ shaman posters in here spamming every thread with personal insults insisting Shaman was fine - all day, every day, for most of phase 2.
Shield requirement was the correct answer to force synergy in tool-kit, tanking, talents, and runes. Just because you want to dual wield tank doesn’t mean it should be possible.
You just want to play fury warrior with spells dude.
Dual wield, as a whole, was a mistake to give to classic era shaman. Dual wield specialization is entirely too good of a rune - 15 talent points worth of passive damage PLUS stormstrike damage increase is unreal.
Shaman tanking needs more realistic adjustments… Shield mastery having no ICD is insane. WoTE 30% hp is insane. Spirit of Alpha is way too good. Loyal Beta shouldn’t exist. Fire Nova off totem shouldn’t generate threat for the shaman for ranged spell cleave kites.
Druids, Rogues and Warlocks don’t use shields.
Druids and rogues wear leather, warlocks wear cloth. And all three lose a MASSIVE portion of their damage to make these tank builds work. Shaman lost absolutely nothing, one rune, full crit immune, 30% health, and 10% flat damage reduction. WoTE gave more tank stats in a single rune than all 3 classes got combined. Warlock and druid both get armor and crit immunity, druid also gets health, rogue gets dodge and parry. Shaman needed to be nerfed.
I agree. Would have been cool for Rogues to wear bucklers like in beta.
Not to my appreciation. What is the prot tree for? Its an error in design that the prot tree is completely unnecessary.
Damn skippy. Somewhat breaks immersion. I hate the corniness of Brewmaster. Hey Im going to throw a keg of beer at you!
It would certainly catch my attention, just saying. Honestly though, what I love about brewmaster is their utility, mobility, and the mechanics based around stagger. Delay damage to smooth the spikes, then take care of it later. Actually, not too different from soul link now that I think about it.
Shaman tanks are getting a rune that does anywhere from 100 to 400 dps. Its going to be ok.
Nobody cares about shaman nerfs after what you did to us in phase 2
Im glad your having fun. But yes its just my opinion.
