Looks like a VPN seems to be the current workaround however I cant seem to find a reliable VPN which doesn’t have a data cap limit. Any suggestions?
Same here. Experience last night. The game is unplayable until now. Also use wave broadband and live in Seattle.
I am not able to stay connected more than a few minutes and even then I cannot turn in quests or get flights most of the time.

Same here, Wave Broadband user, Seattle area
I’ve called Wave and used Kershew’s explanation. I encourage all of you to do the same.
Wave Broadband Support
1 (866) 928-3123
Me too - also Pacific Northwest and Wave G.
So happy I looked here or I’d be waiting maybe days for an answer. Please everyone contact Wave so we can hopefully get this resolved.
EDIT: I contacted Wave and they said their engineering team is aware of the issue. But encourage others to report it as well to hopefully increase the priority of fixing it.
Same issues, also in the PNW. Proton doing well as the work around. Contacted Wave. Good luck everyone! Hope this gets sorted out soon.
I called WaveG and the technician on the phone said they had no idea what issue I was talking about.
Confirming I used the number posted above as well.
If you find one let me know. Also looking for a VPN to temporarily solve this issue.
I’m on Wave in Seattle, playing on Stormrage and also tried Eonar. At this point I can’t get past the character select screen.
Also on Wave in the PNW, also cannot get past the character select screen. I’ve tried all of the recommendations per https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/112213 with no luck.
i cannot get past the char select screen either but my other games work fine seems like blizzard issues. hopefully they get this fixed soon i was on my vacation and just wanted to relax an play games
Wave customer here too. Can only sometimes get to character selection screen. Sometimes it lets me into the game, but then I get disconnected. Glad to know it’s likely not my own internal network. Will be following as I am hoping to play a bit today!
Both 137.221.83.86 and 137.221.65.68 are four to six hops inside the blizzard network in either direction, and are the source of all the high latency and packet loss that I see in the Looking Glass report generated and shown in my original post. That would indicate to me that the issue is at least partially internal to Blizzard’s servers/hardware.
While I would understand an ISP routing issue being the cause if it were an outer/edge node like a firewall or load-balancing device, in this case I can’t believe that.
Same issue can’t get past the character select screen. Noticed the latency was 10+ seconds when I could briefly log in.
ISP is Wave and I am in Seattle.
Here is the email of a person in customer support at wave who is aware of the issue: steven.skarpho@wavebroadband.com
I had the same problems a couple months back and here we are again. Everyone should send him a lovely email with all their experiences and tests. The more pressure they get, the quicker they’ll be about fixing it.
i used the McAfee VPN that comes with your anti virus, works fine
I have been troubleshooting this since last night and went through the entire reinstall process just to make sure it isn’t the app because WoW was flipping out and latency was fine to everything else. This looks like an asymmetric routing issue based on the performance.
Wave Broadband customer in SF / Bay Area.
I just set up the AVG VPN on a free trial for 7 days. Im on just fine now no problems at all.
For posterity:
