They took one thing away, but gave you a new system that adds a ton of flexibility and agency for which mount you want to use. And I expect them to get even crazier with mount equipment going forward.

Flexibility and agency? Won’t all the people currently saying they’re forced to ride the water strider be equally forced to use the water walking equipment? I mean, I guess if you primarily value the cosmetics of your mount, sure, it adds flexibility, but it’s not adding any actual agency. People who can’t click a mount button when they reach water certainly aren’t going to go into their mount tab and change gear situationally.
