Apparently not caring that a single word being removed from a game and that it has no impact or significance in my life = supporting the end of the world and modern society as we see it
Different groups and individuals have varying thresholds and interpretations of what intolerance means. What one group sees as legitimate criticism or free speech, another might view as intolerant or hateful. THis can lead to selective enforcement. If the definition of intolerance is not clear/consistent it can result in unfair suppression of certain views while others are allowed to flourish.
Also, it can be used as justification for authoritarian control. If those in power have the authority to determine what is intolerant, they might use this power to suppress dissent, control public discourse, and eliminate opposition under the guise of protecting tolerance. This can stifle free speech and inhibit the open exchange of ideas, which are essential to a healthy democracy.
I am not sure if we are quite there yet, but prominent queer activists have not shied away from admitting democracy and free speech should be done away with.
And what usually happens if one group feels like they are clamped down upon? It could lead to increased resentment and radicalization among those who feel silenced. This then can perpetuate a cycle where intolerance is met with more intolerance, leading to further division and conflict ad infinitum.
The balance between restricting harmful ideologies and the need to preserve open dialogue and freedom of expression is absolutely vital. (I feel we are having a very healthy open dialogue about it now by the way!)
This is where this comes into play:
To be fair the opposite seems to be that you are one of many isms that are leading to the end of the world if you do care.
Hysteria abounds.
So then donât entertain those people
Na thatâs besn gone
I see this thread is going places. Happy Sunday I guess.
âDonât entertain those people. Meanwhile I will tunnel vision and specifically entertain the crazies in your camp.â
Works for most I guess.
Most Orcs would say bad things . Apart of their nature . Except for the Frostwolf clan Orcs , who have much better manners than their brother / sisters Orcs .
You can always lead by example since you seem to be the subject matter expert in morality
I am leading by example by not falling for the âIâm a rational moderateâ nonsense. ![]()
Let me do it then. It always take the first step!
It has to start somewhere.
That place will not be GD on the WoW forums.
To me it just shows laziness on Blizzardâs part. Like ok, remove what you donât like but at least be prepared to replace it. Now it just has this gaping hole in the dialogue and is even worse than having a foul word there lol.
Oh, I get to dig out this little thing again

I have the feeling that Iâve missed quite a bit since the last time I peeked into this thread. ![]()
You know itâs a troll when they whine about a 3 year old change.
Even when you do try to be understanding, and stick to a moderate position (both sides may have a point riding the fence position), you are often labeled the enemy.
Always. Any level of disagreement meets the friend/enemy distinction. Itâs pathetic.
Itâs honestly the same back and forth for the past ~4 years now (this happened in 2020), and when it first happened there was already a lot of people calling out Blizz for it. So over the years, more and more people have already moved on from a quest they donât even do anymore
