We made decisions on whether to leave some things standing, because they’re borderline, but we’re not looking to reinvent everything, turn over every single stone and rewrite 17 years of WoW. It might be a little bit juvenile. It might be off-color. But this isn’t something that is really making our game feel less welcoming for people, which is what we’re aiming to change. Those things we left. Others were removed, others were rewritten or changed accordingly.
Harassment is not given it’s taken. People’s definition of harassment can be wildly different. I would not consider a painting of a half-naked person to be harassment in the slightest. Apparently, you do.
It’s so stupid to argue about a stupid painting though, I maintain that blizzard censored their product, so that they could look like they were doing something after the lawsuit that is all. If you agree with the censorship because you see it as some form of harassment than that is fine but realize that not everybody is so offended by such things.
Oh yeah. You’re absolutely done and I refuse to deal with you further.
If you think it’s okay to follow women around the workplace and laugh and remind them there are half naked images of them in game… then there is no reason to continue a conversation.
No constantly bringing up anything to do with sex in the workplace is wrong. I never suggested that in the least, and that was not what the conversation was about.
I’ve also not heard anyone (until now) suggest such a thing.
