Any current in game add-on may be worse, unless Blizz decides to buy them out directly. I’m not sure, but probably add-ons are intellectual property and can’t be copied step for step.
I’m new to this info and don’t have a strong opinion either way, but I get why the in-game versions will be lesser ones, as least for a while.
if you’re gonna go this route, then you need to do combat skillchains that change when you press one skill so the combat and maybe some animations can get a friggin’ update and cut down on some bloat.
The thing they need to do is if they are going to “replace” addons with “default” ui elements is the entire customization needs to be there FROM THE START not X patches or Expansions later. This should also be something that is done at Expansion LAUNCH vs mid expansion (X.0.0 patch vs x.0.5/7)… the cooldown manager they added is a great example… the only option is has is on or off nothing else… making it useless for a vast majority of people…
it’s the same animation as divine hymn. main difference is you’re in the sky. so yeah, i’d like not the same reusable animations. another one is that mage big circle spell. looks cool, but the same vanilla animation from our characters. it’s just dated and makes combat kinda meh. how many times do we need to see the man belf pull something out his behind like he’s carrying simba? lol.
On one hand, it’ll make difficult content simpler, while allowing Blizzard to create new, straightforward mechanics that you can naturally react to instead of relying in WA or DBM to tell you.
