So much time and energy spent on this system. There’s no way they’re making any big changes to it now.
I myself looking forward for Uldir solo
I do love soloing stuff. Gives you time to appreciate the scenery.
I think they are only doing character customization for Core races. Allied races will probably come mid or late Shadowlands. Worst case the next expansion.
I dunno I feel like they could have put up a news article detailing this information instead of wasting a stream on it.
Yep, nowadays I mostly spend time doing legion raids.
I don’t understand their design philosophy. They want things to be flexible so that players can do what they want and play all kinds of aspects of the game – which I think is awesome and needed --, and then they put in systems that do the exact opposite. Why.
And how can you have two conflicting views and shove them into the same expansion? It doesn’t make sense to me. It’s like they have multiple teams working on this expansion but they don’t communicate AT ALL as to the direction they want to take the game. But maybe I’m misunderstanding everything.
Obviously. It just means it will be alt unfriendly.
Someone needs to break into Blizzard HQ and steal their monkey’s paw.
100%. They’re sinking their ego into this one. Get ready for epic levels of heel-digging.
Regardless of a weekly cap there shouldn’t be a new AP grind at all… It’s tedious and makes for dull gameplay. Happy for you if you think it’s alt fun or alt friendly, but quite frankly I feel like a majority of the player base would agree feeling obligated to making sure you get that weekly cap on all of your characters will begin to feel like a chore within a week.

Don’t worry. They’ll “fix” the system with another annoying system in a future patch after causing the playerbase grief despite all of the warnings given.
So I guess that’s it for any major class changes.
Yep. I can’t wait for essences 2.0 and corruptions 2.0 as they try to salvage their precious covenants.
If playing the game is a chore, stop playing WoW. WoW is a game where you’re rewarded for engaging with it on a weekly basis. That’s what it has been since Burning Crusade and will continue to be forever.
Alright Alright the stream is over everyone back to your positions.
Nerf DH!
Blue eyes for Blood Elves!
oh…wait…
lol
Really glad to hear Torghast will not use any currency gated system at all. Probably the best news for SL.
Now that we know SL is coming out this fall, that means BfA’s life is nearly at an end. Maybe we should go ahead and get rid of the vendor rotation, remove the essence buy requirement and maybe improve the echo farm. Not really much time left and some things would still takes months to catch up on.
Thanks for the update! I am really looking forward to SL for more than just the upcoming customization options now.
I also appreciated what was shared at the end about BLM. I think it really hit the nail on the head while showing compassion. I can respect that. Thanks for being brave!
I would stop playing, however, not everything about the game is as grindy as pushing end content. Instead I’ve been spending this expansion working on mounts, pets, and achievements. As someone who’s been playing since Vanilla I’m confused where you think TBC was this grindy? Quite frankly it didn’t feel even slightly grindy until WoD with mission tables and then it peaked in Legion with AP being added in, continuing the trend for BFA, and unless they make changes Shadowlands too… Obviously if you disagree that’s your opinion, as this is mine. However, I know I saw complaints about it in the comments during the entire stream. This just seemed like the more reasonable place to put it, where the Dev team might actually see it.
Great stream!
Well, I don’t want to go in-depth about the content I just heard. I was just wanting to critique the presentation. Of course they both did a pretty good job with presenting and seem like nice enough individuals.
Just these are my complaints it’s nitpicks but I think it’s pretty valid points.
- The ending statement was political. Not plugging the actual expansion. I missed near the beginning of this stream so by the end of it I was going did they announce any dates? Seriously what did I miss and I was in confusion of what the whole broadcast was about because of this. In any interview or any announcement I feel like you should be plugging the whole reason of your stream at the end. This is a very common occurrence.
- Speaking of plugging your expansion. This was a great opportune moment to create more hype. Which in turn would make more people pre-orders. I feel like they fell really flat on this. You had everyone’s ear, yet you didn’t take advantage of it? I was half hoping for some type of secret. Oh we set this aside to excite you guys. (A new class, new something, something additional, anything) Yet it was just more in depth on how the systems work. Which made me wonder why advertise this announcement so much? What was the point? You could’ve done multiple small interviews again about the systems and have the same effect.
The most incentive I seen in the whole presentation (when I had to rewind the whole video to even see what this presentation was even about) was John and him saying we brought back artbooks for you guys. (Correct me if I am wrong but I don’t think BFA had one. Not 100% on that. Also mentioning some pins etc. ) So at the least he was trying to create a incentive a tiny bit but it had nothing to do with the actual game itself.
Other then that it’s great to hear things are going a long smoothly I guess. Beta is coming out. I didn’t hear anything about a release date. Which I was kinda anticipating. Most of us don’t care if it takes a little longer to release as we want a good product. Still it would’ve been nice to hear a release date.
