Rastakhan: “Surprise Mon ~ Betchya thought you saw the last of me.” :smirk:

:sunglasses: Here’s to hoping we get to see many of our fallen heroes & favoured characters in the next life! :beers:

Rastakhan is one of the bosses in The Other Side dungeon?

I will blame you for the rest of this game’s life if this happens.

If he does, I hope he becomes one of those bosses that forfeit at 5% HP then end up helping us.

“Wait! I … I am free, of the mind-soul control. I … I can help. But please … Once this is over, deliver a message for me … To Talanji.”

I can see that. Though I could see it more of Talanji being there with the player to save her father’s soul and break the deal or something.

That’d be cool.

I’d also like to see Anduin meet those his father admired (Such as Anduin Lothar), or see Vanessa VanCleef meet her father there; then after seeing Anduin is different from past leaders & would finally compensate those remaining that rebuilt Stormwind - pledge loyalty to the Alliance.

As opposed to Alleria Windrunner? Leader of the Void Elves allied race?
{Sips Lipton Ice-Tea}

They should had released the races before the ‘Battle of Dazar’Alor’ raid so the respective race could be a part of the prime moment fighting with the faction & playing a major role from their prime society. ‘The Swashbucklers / Yo Ho Ho, lets grab the Gold & Go Go Go’ or ‘For the Loa! Zandalar Fo’Ever!’

But afterwards it felt like all the hype & roleplay potential for the given race was like stepping out to an oasis that had dried up.

I seriously hope there’s more Loa lore, along with hidden troll-conspiracies (Maybe Hakkar’s return? … Like he promised in the dungeon?) Was an aspect I really thoroughly enjoyed on the Horde.

I feel Blizzard need to address Wild Gods (Along with the Nightelves involvement with them!!) and the Loa more.

Well, yes, Rastakhan is cooler than Alleria. He’s the immortal champion of a tyrannosaurus god and emperor of the oldest troll tribe. Alleria, is second most impressive Windrunner and half-leader to a group of exiles.

In all seriousness though, Magister Umbric more conventionally fills the role of Void Elf leader. He’s the one who’ll carry on after Alleria’s heroic death next expansion.

Alliance got to ride a Void T-Rex Tank into battle for the final quest of our Zuldazar Faction Assault if that counts?

Alleria can also ride a t-rex. only with void!

She can also make portals, like a mage. but she isn’t a mage.
She can also summon some demonic beings from the void, but she isn’t a warlock!
she is also a legendary hunter, but now with void magic!

Everything you can do, alleria can do it better!

There is no such thing as a good windrunner.

Ah, the T-Rex God that got blown up into Gore; and had his soul fused with a former-King’s soul so he could maintain his existence in the mortal plane?

I somehow highly doubt that.

Yes, now you’re starting to see the bigger picture. In addition to blowing up, which is already metal as hell, that tyrannosaurus god also came back as a zombie tyrannosaurus god. It’s not even a competition between the two.

I think an actual subverting of expectations would be the death of Talanji instead of Rastkhan.

Not really. Blizzard is a big fan of using cheap family death to push a character’s story. I’d be more surprised if they didn’t kill or harm a member of someone’s family to motivate them in some way.

still salty about the gnome apprentice of jaina x(
she didn’t needed to die as a plot device blizz!

I think his child’s death would have made sense after he made a pact with the loa of death.

I’d like Alleria better if she is wasn’t married to Artanis.

Rhasta was charming by himself. :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:

Am I the only one who wasn’t really effected by Rastakhan’s death? While the character has canonically been around in the background for ages, there never really was much on him in terms of substance. Not only that, his death was extremely telegraphed in BfA … on just about ever basic writing level. This was especially true when he made a Pact with the Loa of the Dead. You want to make yourself expendable? Tie your pact to your kids.

While they could have certainly taken his character in a different direction, and considering his design and VA I would have been very happy if they had … ultimately I got what they were going with him. He was a representation of the very mentality that has been driving the Trolls to extinction for … 10k years? A hyper fixation on and deification of a glorified past that can never be reclaimed; but gosh darn-it the Trolls are going to try anyway!

Hell, Rasta even took this one step further and just ignored problems around him until they constantly exploded in his face, cuz “Zandalar is always great mon”. When you screw up so bad that you literally have to make a deal with the very same Loa of the Dead that’s pissed at you for infringing upon his domain for centuries … you’re done sir. I don’t care if you got a little more time, you’re just done. Bwon should have had your soul ages ago, he has it now.
