Warsong Gulch Exit Portal Removal

That was a misunderstanding on your part. They clarified it but you didn’t pay any attention:

Additional improvements will include modern anti-cheat/botting detection, customer service and Battle.net integration, and similar conveniences that do not affect the core gameplay experience.

“Warts and all” did not include cheats and exploits

I’m legitimately floored at people defending griefing and toxic play like this.

You’re not #nochanges, you’re supporting bullies. You’re not arguing against a slippery slope, you’re supporting cheaters. You’re not wanting Vanilla for the game play and the experience, you want it because you know the game breaks and you’re ticked off Blizzard is doing their job and fixing them.

This is a griefing/bug fix. Not a fundamental change. Figure it out.

How long until this post gets locked like the AV one?

So…you all know the map in AV favors the horde. However, with the way the Alliance plays, I feel fixing the map will only…maybe help the Alliance win 5-10% of the time.

Alliance for some reason can not understand how to play in AV.

Blizzard need to remove the AFK’ers and put rep players in their own little AV instances.

Give us R9+ AV please.

Not being able to portal out after a BG into the world is HUGE change.

The easiest, and most obvious solution would be to deactivate the portals while the match is in session.

If MCing someone out the portal is considered griefing, its likely only a handful of arseclowns doing it every match. BAN THEM AND MOVE ON.

No, it really is not, except in your mind.
But your mind is not the one in charge.

I don’t PvP and I’m not affected by the change. It was and always is the principle, and your histrionics won’t stop what I’m saying being true.

There was this old cheesy sci-fi show on British television called Blake’s 7. In it there was this gun that tagged people, and once tagged if the person with the gun pressed a second button, wherever the tagged person was they would die as if they had only just been shot. They were already dead after the first shot. They just didn’t know it.

This is the same. You’re arguing for the end of Classic, you just don’t know it yet.

Sure is! It’s a thing I keep seeing here. “AV would be better all around if the Horde would just stop actually doing what the Battleground’s designed for players to do!”

Wait, that was an awesome show!

It will very much prevent the specific greifing it was implemented to prevent. You can’t MC players out of the game through portals that no longer exist. I never used those portals during my time in Vanilla so the only impact IS on griefers.

You won’t be missed.

lol half the R9+ players are afkers though

Mind you, it’s called the “Slippery Slope Fallacy” and not “The Slippery Slope Good Argument That Has No Logical Holes In It And Should Convince Everyone.”

Changing one thing is actually not evidence or precedent to change another thing. That is, in fact, bad logic. Also, removing the exit portals doesn’t change the gameplay experience unless your gameplay experience was exploiting the game to grief players. And if that’s the classic experience you were looking for, I’m gonna be honest! I’m glad you lost it. It wasn’t worth preserving.

Of all things to address with the current state of pvp, this is what you go with…
