theyre continuing because people like you are part of the problem. You did 0 research. Fury has always suffered from having no heroism, no battle rez, no meaningful utility. In most other games, classes like that benefit from being either a walking tank or a damage dealing machine. In WoW, Ret paladin (Battle rez, blessings, immunity, off heals) gets buffed and Fury gets nerfed. Frost DK (Another battle rez class) no nerf, Shaman (a heroism class) no nerf.

its tiresome and the warrior community is tiresome. And in every thread the same 2 people running premades with their friends to inflate their IO (because pugging as a warrior is a pain and they know it) say its fine, when the multi time top warrior in M+ has said its not (the same guy who was in denial that the S4 tier set was bad so id say is the opposite of the typical Doomer, Critcake)

Warrior mains have the right to feel fed up and complain, even Ret pally mains are crying foul on our behalf lol

Unbalanced? Fury is dogpoo, specially now. Arms is taking collateral damage because, and that’s the same reason why Fury is getting nerfed, Warrior can’t be good in any way that matters. Can’t be useful, can’t deal good ST damage, can’t deal sustained AoE damage, can’t burst too hard and specially can’t be top tier for a raid designed to make your logs look insanely good because you’re killing the lil minions.

I made some comments that CC were saying nerfs were warranted and they have been saying that for awhile.

Now while I’m always skeptical of content creators hunting for clickbait, you really have to take anything they say with a grain of salt. Especially if they do not main the class. You may also be watching videos that are already outdated.
Example: You may have watched one talk about the 10 and 15% nerf to Bladestorm and Odyn’s Fury with a bonus 3% aura nerf. While those sucked, it was kind of warranted. What a lot of the newer posts are talking about is the PTR news coming in November. Dropping Roar and Odyn’s fury to 5 targets, when it was 8. [See my thread: “More Fury nerfs?”] These nerfs were certainly not warranted and will not change anything in raid. What it will do, is drastically hurt M+.

I really was just upset that my post asking a few questions about tank specs had gone unanswered. and I really do prefer to talk to humans rather than just get my info from guides or CC.

I would highly recommend you go to the Warrior discord, Skyhold. There is a channel solely for talking Prot tips and tricks.

Thane gives decent damage and lots of tankiness. Colossal gives up tankiness for more damage.

I’ve played a warrior since Vanilla, does that give me higher authority over you? No. People are “complaining” because the class is in a dog$hit state and Arms is tuned for pvp. This is a billion dollar company that can’t afford 1 dev for each class? Even Critcake is saying how bad these changes are and he makes money off of the game

No. People are “complaining” because the class is in a dog$hit state and Arms is tuned for pvp.

The class still puts in a lot of work, Fury’s AoE needed toning down in general however it’s ST being caught in the crossfire without any compensation is a rough one.

Arms is VERY good single target in raid with slayer, has the best execute phase damage still (very good for prog) and also has some really strong AoE / 2 Target Cleave damage and utility with Colossus in keys. It’s got a very potent cooldown window that’s able to take control of some of the harder vuln phase bosses that will brick your key in pugs.

PvP tuning is a remnant of them keeping heavy diminishing returns on Arms talents which weren’t taken off with the new xpac like they should’ve been.

No shade on olmate but I’d only take what he says with a grain of salt, he’s no trailblazer for the class. He can push buttons alright but I’d ignore anything else he has to say.
To put it bluntly they’re a follower and quiet franky has some really poor takes which unfortunately influenced the horrible season you “Fury mains” experienced in S4 of Dragonflight by being baited into voting for the wrong tier set bonus.

Fury’s nerfs were warranted…for…reasons! Yes! Let’s not discuss those reasons, though. What? Stats? Numbers? You think I’m some kind of nerd?? I was in a group the other day and a warrior was allowed to play, isn’t that enough?
Let’s be real, we know the reason, and the reason they won’t display it is because the reason is bad: warrior was at the top, and that’s not allowed, even if warrior was going to fall off as others got their tier. Arms was tuned single target/cleave, and fury was tuned aoe burst, giving distinct identities and a really good tradeoff relationship. But, no, arms is allowed to do solid ST but not be top, and fury isn’t supposed to do any niche.

That doesn’t make your opinion infallible. S4 Dragonflight was a great example of this. Architimos, one of the Theorycraftrs who writes our API for Sims and has been doing so since at least MoP, had different opinons about what bonuses would be most beneficial.

You should take people’s opinons with a grain of salt, and ask your own questions and do your own research on issues.

And while I enjoy Critcake (especially his Raid PoV videos) he’s not a trailblazer. He tries things that other people have had success with and rarely deviates from whats considered Meta or Mathematically correct for Warriors.

right now fury is still performing in the upper 10% for AOE situations. and while its ST is much lower down the ladder its still in the competitive range

I fail to see a problem here. In fact, this is how things should work; better at some things and worse at others. But let’s just pretend the AOE does need to be taken down for some reason. Where are the buffs to single target then to compensate?

The problem is this sort of ham handed tuning is how a spec spends the next 2 tiers as trash, while Blizzard pretends there is nothing wrong and no mistake was made in spite of thousands of logs to the contrary. “Normal” doesn’t mean “good.”

So your idea’s foundation comes from a “flaw” in the content and not the class? If anything, this wrecks your idea the most.

While I prefer raids, I can’t deny the majority of players focus on M+. You are advocating a class become effectively “the wrong choice” in one content, to be brought in line in very specific circumstances and be worse at everything else. Do you not see how this is a terrible idea to advocate for? This makes warriors “the wrong choice” for all content. Sadly, this is Blizzard’s thinking too.

Are you trolling? No really are you? Bellular is an AOTC player. His sweaty progression content is less than what I take alts to when I want to take it easy. His channel is focused more on WoW story than game balance, because fortunately he knows his opinion there is not worth anything. If they can’t get it done it isn’t doable, and such players are criticizing these changes the same as the rest of us. I used to be able to do that. I was not moderated in any way between the last picture I posted and when I noticed I couldn’t. The last one I posted is still up, a Bambam gif when someone asked why haste is good for prot, but I did make a few harsh criticisms of their product and now I can’t. The moderators are real not-cs and frankly vandalize at the behest of mass reporters more than they fix at this point.

my statements were made in defense of people like you coming here to talk about the nerfs when the literal intent of the post was to tell you guys to try and spend some time answering the communities’ questions. there were no flaws in anything I said as the evidence is clear as day considering they are being nerfed. obviously both CC and the devs felt they were warranted. Im not here to argue that. I dont know if they need nerfs or not as I am just returning to playing warrior.
