Kinda rough spending that kind of money on first character though
LOL my first vanilla server was Magtheridon, which was a PVP server…hated going to STV due to all of the massive ganking and corpse camping going on over there. I later started calling it Stranglegank Vale lol.
To this day even on PVE servers I detest going there because all the times I got killed just left a bad taste in my mouth. I do it for the quest for the troll tusks, but nothing else. Hate the horrible drop rate on them though 
Server dependent, on my server you can pick up something decent for about 5g.
Which btw you could easily farm in the time you instead spent getting the WW axe.

quest gear is ok but i would bet i was miles ahead of you and much safer other than mages most could not kill me making my day ez as hell
I wouldn’t bet on it. I leveled a great deal in dungeons and my drop luck was pretty good.
