WARNING! Alliance is turning War Mode OFF!

Oh yeah. It’s WoW, there would still be people complaining about it for sure. Lol.

And yet the Horde are dominating mythic raid clears world wide… You keep making a big deal out of that gear, did you throw the same fit when the Horde got a free 370 (heroic caliber raid gear) from AH WF just as season 1 of raiding opened?

And that 370 gear they earned from season 1 meant nothing. At that point we were getting 370-380 from emissary, invasions and WFs for weeks. If you weren’t swimming in heroic gear, it was because you weren’t playing.

Look dear, it’s a WarMode Hipster. Shhh careful, don’t scare it away. Take a picture and let’s move on. :camera_flash:

I don’t think anyone is denying that anyone would complain about it if we each had a chance for it. Alliance got it week one and instead of offering Horde players the chance for it Blizzard again screwed the majority of the players and took it away. I mean good for them for admitting that it was a mistake (this entire expansion has been one massive mistake IMHO) but they should have thought twice before just gimping an entire side from it before saying it wouldn’t happen again.

Everyone, regardless of faction, or regardless of who they are, complains about something. After all, it is only being human.

They didn’t say the gear reward wasn’t coming back. They said that when the numbers reach a certain point it would be disabled. So once our bonus dropped from 30% to 15%, it was turned off (believe they said 20% was the cut off point). They even said that the ilvl of the gear was being “lowered for now”, which leaves up the chance it will be returned to 400 later in the expansion.

While I disagree with the incentives, you can’t argue that they didn’t work. We had finally reached a point were our participation was almost on par with the Horde but now without those incentives those that were not actually interested in PvP will just not turn it on.

Because once again, people weren’t doing it for the PVP Side of things, they just wanted something good without really earning it. Which kinds of fustrates me. I’ll put it this way, I am only 360 something ilvl, haven’t done much raiding this expansion (mainly because of work disrupting my time for raids), but yet, I do not want to just earn a free piece of gear without putting in any effort into earning it.

This is where the Horde is really coming up with “Welfare Loot”. Not once, in the history of WoW, have you earned a piece of Heroic Raid gear for just turning on WM or being on a PVP Server. Not ever, should you recieve PVE Bonuses for doing PVP Content, especially when it comes to WPVP and Heroic Raid Loot at the start of a new season.

Now, I wouldn’t care if they recieve something like from the Azeroth PVP Season 2 around 385, because the PVP Season gear is more towards the PVP Season, but raid gear… Yeah, no.

Do you honestly think that for all those months the Horde dominated the WM shards that every Horde player was there for WPvP and not the 10% bonus? I think we both know that each side’s PvE player base was using WM for the incentives.

I have already made my point of view clear on the WM shards. They are failures but Blizzard isn’t going to let something that spent so much time hyping go down in flames without trying everything they can.

I am not saying the Horde isn’t doing something similar. But as I stated in another thread, I think the PVE Bonuses should be removed and the only bonuses from WM should be PVP Related, since having WM On means engaging in PVP Conflict in the outside world.

That would be fine but Blizzard is well aware of the faction imbalance upon the WM shards in general and their inability to dynamically balance them. So they are trying to take steps to address that balance and the only way they can motivate PvE players into a PvP setting is with a reward they want.

Honestly I would rather they award conquest points, honor tokens and PvP loot boxes instead of heroic level raid gear.

I’d be happy with that.

It’s a cycle now. One side is a bit stronger than the other in warmode for whatever reason. The other side has lots of non-diehard PVP players so those people turn it off and the stronger side gets stronger. Then the PVE players on the strong side hear about “free bonuses” and turn on warmode, making the strong side much much stronger and the weak side continues to opt-out even more.

Blizzard adds bonuses to the weak side to tempt the PVE players, they sign up in droves on the weak side and huddle together for strength in numbers, camping weak points. The strong side resigns in protest over getting camped and the unfairness of the rewards. It seesaws so the weak side becomes stronger and the strong side becomes weaker. Rinse repeat the cycle.

Pretty late aren’t you lad

This was known on Tuesday

I turned it on the other day figuring my level 45 could use the boost in xp. So I go to lakeshire to quest only to find a level 120 horde killing everyone over there…so I log out, and decide to try again the next day…different 120 horde over there killing everyone…just hearthed back and turned it back off. No amount of bonus xp is worth getting camped and 1 shot all day.

So your saying Horde are making it impossible to quest?

DEUS VULT!

Only reason that I want to turn it off, is all the LFG cross realm groups (MY SIDE) people drag in. But I wont turn it off cause it is still fun.

The circle of life.

Alliance say screw it.
Horde cry because they’re all alone.
Blizzard dangles a carrot.
Alliance nom the carrot
Horde cry because they don’t have a carrot
Blizzard takes away the alliance carrot.
Alliance say screw it
Horde cry because they’re all alone
