I’d like to add that even for that 10% who never get as far as Mythic G’huun, those racials still make a huge difference in their own progression. The most obvious example is Mythic Fetid, which could be attempted by anyone that killed Mother. Orc/troll racials were an explicit part of guild first strategies to ration cooldowns around the mutated masses, and it was very common to fail one by 1-2% before it started self-healing.

That’s a very good point. Even if you could substitute Alliance racials, it’s much easier to follow someone else’s working strategy than to come up with a different strategy on your own. If all the top guilds working out initial strategies are Horde, that makes the job of any Alliance guild much more difficult since they have to develop their own strategies rather than just follow a known cookie cutter recipe.
