Warlock threat in classic

My lock was mediocre gear and this thread brings back flashbacks. Yeah crits were bittersweet, because you knew you were going to die in a couple seconds. You couldn’t fear off you or risk pulling adds, and your soulstone was on a healer or tank. I remember pausing or wanding after dying way too many times.

Thanks all! This is a lot of great feedback. Details on braking dps, warrior sunder armor, and exacerbation of problem by talent synergies with SB are all really helpful. Seems I would be best suited to go gnome if I want to warlock.

You can fix that with Feral Druid tanks… they pull more threat than prot warriors.

Well, if you are capping threat, it won’t hurt having master demonologist as that increases the amount of dps you can have by 20%

Warlock threat is huge, just focus on getting 6-set T3. Or pray you have an amazing tank that uses full consumes every pull.

Soulstones in raids were reserved for rezzers. You’d put one, maybe two on, and save the other warlocks’ soulstones in case of wipes within the cooldown.
