We didn’t have itemization for it, so the option is to add specifically tank itemization options for a single class, a single role, and a single glyph (thank you for reminding me that we aren’t even talking about a talent but a glyph (and no, I don’t care it was a major rather than a minor glyph)). So… Metamorphosis-warlocks get an entire loot-table for themselves, with gear specifically tailormade to be useful just for that one ability?

It doesn’t fit into WoW, so that’s the first problem to solve. How to make itemization that makes no sense actually make sense.

You do know thats because the times when meta existed tank itemization had specific stats that only tanks wanted right? You dont need to make completely new itemization for the spec now because tanks want the same stats as healers/dps now. So thats an issue thats already been solved.

Because the only reason why warlocks had access to Metamorphosis was because there weren’t any demon hunters in WoW until Legion. The ability stemmed, originally, from Illidan … a demon hunter. Warlocks in WoW gained the ability primarily because … who else would get access to this iconic ability?

A demon hunter that got his power by absorbing the fel energy from the skull of guldan… from a warlock…

Look if you are going to try and use the games lore as justification, you should know the lore of the game. Demon hunters literally only exist because of guldan. Ignoring the whole thing of the council of the black harvest and Kanrethad who canonically can still use meta

The glyph was made so folks could experiment and try out things but … looking at it… No. You weren’t playing as a warlock with that glyph, you were roleplaying as a demon hunter. Which at the time would’ve been a “fan-made class identity”.

See point above. There’s literally lore justification on why warlocks have a bunch of abilities, with meta being one of them.
