Anyone cleared the destro mage tower challenge since the update? I’m having trouble doing it myself. have come close to reaching the 2nd phase, but feel as though I’m not doing enough damage to deal with everything. eventually the boss will slightly overlap Fel burst and behemoth screech with totem and its a death sentence
Tips would be appreciated.
Almost have to stack versatility as demo to get through it.

I have found the Destro and Demo challenge to be far overtuned and outright broken in some cases. For Destro, it is just overtuned and is in dire need of rescaling. The health of the adds and the damage from feltotem needs to be reduced. Adds do not die nearly quick enough and the miniscule amount of healing from soul leech does not refund the HP that is taken away from the constant chip damage. It needs to be adressed.
As for Demo, Blood Of The father on multiple attempts has not gotten interupted when she starts to cast it. It goes off even if she gets feared/stunned. Aside from that, pet aggro, it just doesn’t exist due to the felguard randomly dropping threatening presence. 30 attempts of zoning back in, resummoning, toggling on TP listening to the RP only to die a minute into the fight because the encounter is broken.
Mage Tower is in desperate need of retuning.
the mage tower seems incredibly WAY overturned right now. scaling, health pools and damage all seem way way to high right now, the damage is so high i don’t even understand how you can even survive through it. I don’t know blizzard is just so bad with content like this, they truly don’t understand how to make challenge content fun rather then BS and frustrating.
Be literally any other class and it’s much easier.
I took a peek at it yesterday and did around 10 pulls before deciding I was too tired to deal with it.
Something is stunning me for 2 sec and I’m not sure what. I’m not sure if I’m not seeing the totem in time, or if it is something else. It seems like something else though. That is killing me more than anything, cause it hits me right as he starts casting the nasty fel spell.
I’m thinking I need a focus macro for kick and fear though. I just need to do some research on how to create it.
It’s also just rough with very little haste. Destro is so terribly slow.
Did the demonology one today (i had already done it in Shadowlands, did just to check it), being honest? its easier than in Shadowlands.
Demonic Resilience, Soulburn: Health Funnel, Annihilan Training gives the Felguard up to 40% damage mitigation, His Threat Aura turned On + DSTR and Guillotine allows him to easily hold the aggro of 2 or all 3 (sometimes you need to cc sigryn due to her cast) all the time.
Demon Skin, Fel Synergy and Health Funnel make healing him something trivial.
Amplify Curse of Tongues drastically reduces the damage of the runeseer and increases the time you have to break his shield by a significant amount.
Completed all 3 mage tower challenges today. It is actually easier than when it first came out in Legion (Unless you had legion legos). So it is possible. A little disappointed that I need Alts to be able to get the mount that requires you complete all 7 challenges.
Ranking from easiest to hardest;
The Affliction challenge is the toughest given the constant kiting, but if you take out Karam (the guy chasing you), then you’ll have an easier time. It helps to also talent vile taint and inevitable demise, so even if Raest enrages you’ll have more healing than he can dmg you through. Since he’ll be spawning adds non-stop, you’ll be at 50 drain life stacks almost all the time. Good luck!
The destro one was my favorite in legion. It was challenging but I downed it. Now in this current iteration I can’t even get past phase 1. I did it as affliction and downed it yesterday.
i did all 3 several times in Legion for the life of me i couldn’t do destro even though i did a lot for friends i figured it couldnt be that different, got really annoyed switched to Demo and did it in 3 tries its def the easiest right now from what i can tell.
If you dont mind, could you link your afflock talent loadout for the challenge? Trying to get twins done with lock. Had a good attempt on Wednesday, should be much easier than in Legion (i did not have Sacc, I did resort to infernal cheese though)

I tested a few different builds, i didn’t find soulburn necessary for the fight. The drain life talents were great as by the time the guy chasing you dies, the mage in the middle will enrage. The drain life talents + 50 stacks of inevitable demise will keep you alive.
The buffed curses will slow Karam so much that he’ll practically be walking (remember it only last about 12 secs though). Others may have a more optimised build but this one worked well for me.
Edited: Your pet can soak the summoning circles for you. Just set it to passive and keybind the pet move button to get it to the middle of the circle. This make circles super easy to handle!
