Warglaives of Azzinoth transmog restrictions

Warglaives of Azzinoth are rogue weapons. There’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to transmog them. Should we take away the ability for mages to transmog thunderfury since they have the staff from Cata? By yoir logic we absolutely should. Thunderfury was never a mage weapon to begin with.

How so? They have Shadowmourne, Thunderfury, and Hand of Ragnaros.

OK then yes. Lore trumps gameplay. The glaives are for DH only. At this point you people are yelling at clouds.

But according to lore, the PC DH gives them BACK to Illidan at the end of Nighthold when he resurrects…

By this logic, not only should DHs themselves not even be able to mog them, they shouldn’t even have the physical item post-Legion.

Very low IQ take. If lore truly trumped gameplay, we wouldn’t have a lot of things that we do, for example undead holy priests shouldn’t exist. Mages having separate specs and spell schools since canonically speaking, all magic is arcane based. On top of that, lore wise, rogues, and warrior defeated illidan and took his warglaives. There were no Demon hunters there to get them. So if anyone should have those specific glaives, lore wise, it’s warriors and rogues.

Illidan uses the flaming artifact warglaives for the rest of the xpac.

The only low IQ take in this thread is raging against a decision that is never going to change. Literally just giving your fingers exercise.

here is hoping they let me transmog them on my DK too

It likely wasn’t even a decision, more so an oversight. If people didn’t “yell at clouds” we wouldn’t beable to transmog 99% of legendary items or gray/white items since that used to be a hard stance blizzard took.

I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t since they were added to the classes that could use them in Wrath.

Not even wrong. If it were an oversight DH wouldn’t be required to do BT timewalking to get the appearance.

I’m still mad every other legendary weapon got an appearance but instead of giving us frostmourne we got some axe that wasn’t even the best axe in the instance (graphically) and then when Legion came we got little one hander swords made out of our most iconic weapon.

lol the DK toothpicks

That was the most bungled aesthetic/ability .

The ability, the image, all of it.

It doesn’t even matter that Frostmourne got shattered, or that Warglaives of Azzinoth aren’t actually owned by DH PCs, etc…

Our possession of these weapons are not canon… really neither is the character one plays as, PCs are stand-ins for actual canonical characters as seen by things like the Xavius corrupted fight with Ysera.

just make a DH then you can transmog them…

shirley you’re not serious…

So you don’t think it’s plausible that they overlooked that whole thing when they decided to remove the long-standing restriction on legendary transmogs? Nearly 4 years later? You’re being intellectually dishonest for the sake of trolling or you’re not very bright.

I have one, I don’t care for the class.

I will direct you to the 8.3 patch notes:

“Developers’ note: The Warglaives of Azzinoth dropped from Illidan in Black Temple are the one exception, as a custom method for Demon Hunters in particular to obtain this transmog appearance already exists through Black Temple Timewalking, and we do not want to diminish the value of that unique reward.

They most certainly did NOT overlook a single thing about the warglaives.

Okay, so you were right about one thing after shifting goal posts 3 times. Do you want some reddit gold or something? The whole thing is still so arbitrary and outdated. They’ve had their “unique reward” longer than I was allowed to enjoy my glaives, which was considerably harder to get than the timewalking achievement.
