this seems more tame then the proto drake achievement
People got complacent with Dragonflight in regards to blizzard never failing to make some truly stupid choice. Put the mounts as the meta achievement, no one gives a toss about those. This is just another bullet point in bad choices blizz makes. Especially when in regards to Night Elves.

It’s what the elves deserve.
I don’t want to stay subbed year around while waiting for one transmog. It might be convenient for you but I don’t want to make this game my life to justify getting an armor set. And its a shame because its the only way to really access the extremely popular warden fantasy that night elf fans have been asking for over a decade.
It’s almost like this is subscription based game where the business makes money while you stay subbed or something.
It’s ok for a mmorpg to have rewards that take time to earn.

Crud, I was hoping to just get it asap. I want my Demon Hunter warden, that will show those stuck up wardens who’s boss.
I’m okay with this. It’s loyalty rewards for players who love WoW and are always subscribed.
There are often new player rewards and discounts, so I’m happy to see rewards for players who have been subbed for years.
I probably won’t ever get this set since I take too many breaks but those die-hard fans deserve something.

Perfectly fine with this personally. It means not everyone will be wearing it at the same damn time because it’s one of the best sets in the game for a nelf.

The proto drake also was a 310 flying mount during the time that 310 mounts were very rare and or it cost a LOT of money to get.
So yes, while it was not a unique model is was one of the most rewarding things in the game at the time.

You chose right being a nightborne and not a night elf.
They’ve done it to Orcs a few times as well iirc. Most notably when they made the Frostwolf and Thunderlord cosmetic sets (both being the clans that are primarily made up of hunters and shaman) leather for some reason.
They should make 'em all cosmetic at this point anyhow.

ignoring the entire point was that I would be paying a 140$ sub to stay online for a year, thats not the same as you minimizing it to “just clicking a box”. At least argue faithfully.

So it shouldn’t be an issue. Since every month we get 500 free tokens per month, and from what this, we’re getting a bonus 500.
Though sucks waiting on it, I could use pieces of that Warden armor.
Two year expansion. Seems legit 
And a great way to keep that subscription going.
If it’s a full year? Great. I’d much rather get it for free in a year than use the currency that I need to save for other things like pets, mounts, and the minor transmogs like the pink cloak.
Sucks for those who wanted it, sure, but you’d still be getting it for free in a year as opposed to using your currency on it.

Id rather spend the currency on it since 90% of the stuff show is not stuff I want. Who wants to buy the saber mounts that you can’t even use in current content anyways. I’d rather they swap the transmog with the mounts as their meta achievement.
