You were part of someone else’s combat log. There’s nothing you can do about that.

except as you can see in the image in one of the posts above that specific site mentions that there is a battle.net option to do just that (the last sentence), so if OP has it enabled then they arent abiding by it.

if the armory api return includes that “hide me” value then there shouldnt be any need to “claim” characters on those 3rd party web sites, they can just hide them themselves.

As nobody has bothered to spell it out yet… Blizz’s Share Game Data options have no effect on what information is gathered via the in-game Combat Log, which is where this particular information is coming from. Other players are taking that combat log data and uploading it to WCL, none of it is coming directly from Blizz.

while this is true, why would they mention the battle.net option to hide your data, if turning that option on doesnt actually hide your data on their own site?

note - this presumes that OP has turned that option on, WCL is getting that information, and then hiding the data. lots of places it can go wrong along the way.
