Jaina should honestly have been neutral by that point; She’d effectively severed ties with the rest of the alliance by virtue of it having largely collapsed by that point due to much of it’s constituent nations either pulling out (Quel’thalas and gilneas) or just not existing (looking at you lordaeron, alterac, dalaran and stromgarde), she’d chosen to aid thrall in order to prevent a third war and it was clear that jaina and thrall had deep respect for each other.
We’d probably have a very different game if that had been the case.
I think my favourite what if though, and this one came about during early BFA and would have made the whole expansion more then just a crappy MoP clone) was this:
What If Genn burnt Theramore as a false flag to get the alliance to go all in on killing sylvanas because he straight up hated her that much? Like you still have sylvanas doing heinous villain sh*t, but it’s revealed that part way through the expansion that Gen’s hatred of her was so intense that N’zoth was able to whisper the idea to him. As time goes on Greymane realizes what happened and where the voice is coming from but he doesn’t really care since the old god is giving him the war to end the banshee queen.
It’s just weird to me as I think Hearthglenn eventually became what Theramore should have been from the get-go.
If I had a magic wand I’d make it a neutral city with docks connecting to both Stormwind and Tirisfal.
As I really can’t see WC3 Jania rejecting her own countrymen just because they came down with a bad case of spookitis.
And I don’t think I’ll ever get over how Varian, a man so unhinged he was the Blue answer to Garrosh in the Trial of the Crusader, had to tell Jania Proudmoore not to backstab the entire Horde in a moment of frenzied opportunism.
Love that Maiev skin from HoTs. I wish blizzard art team would take some inspiration from the WC skins in that game. Idk if the wow physics can handle it but a cloak and armor like that would be amazing on a night elves.
