I disagreed with this story initially and lashed out my frustrations before reading it. As I am not supportive of the pairing. I am still not supportive of the pairing. I do try and keep an open mind even if I am not happy with it. I read it earlier.
It’s fine, I still don’t like the pairing. I don’t think Thalyssra needed to be tied down so soon with a love interest. More so uninteresting Lor’themar. As for this short story the author tried to flesh him out more, making him a broken man that wants nothing more then time. Oh and he’s into poetry on the side now. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this interpretation of Lor’themar and where it is coming from. I always felt his character came across as pretty confident. I don’t mind it. I still don’t find him that interesting.
I was alright with him and Liadrin together. The boring, blandness couple. I thought they suited each other just fine. The one thing that pairing had that was interesting is the amount of pain they went through together.
Thalyssra was alright in the story. Trying to have him look on the bright side of life and enjoy the finer things it has to offer. I think the author did her character alright, but Thalyssra is still fairly new from Legion.
I did enjoy her in BFA also. I did compliment them for the minor characters outstanding the major ones in the expansion. That wasn’t just on the female side it was on the male one also. The only major character I didn’t mind much was Azshara and I have expressed that several times also.
Anyways the short story is ok. It’s nice they make the attempt to add a bit more romance. I would’ve liked to see her with someone else and also not have to rush to get a love interest but it’s fine. Mostly preferred a different love interest. Mostly.
Hopefully Lor’themar will not be that conflicted with reuniting with Kael coming up in Shadowlands. Which I feel is hinted at in this short story. Honestly I wasn’t anticipating any of the leaders to really follow us there. Besides one in particular. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised as I have heard Mal and Tyrande might have a lot of influence in a particular zone.

A.) It was a joke because y’all heteros constantly whine about the “gay agenda” and how we constantly try to turn everyone gay.
B.) If everyone in the world was gay, would we magically lose the ability to breed via conventional and scientific ways? Are you stuck somewhere that hasn’t advanced medically, or scientifically, since the 1950s?

The story is well written and I love having a short story that has Nightborne and Blood Elves. My problem is with the pairing.
I’m hoping this can be the last we see of this relationship. Then we can let Silgryn move in.

Was a unexpected surprise when it arrived in my email. Wasn’t sure where it was going at first, but I got a kick out of it. It was sweet yet a bit funny. I’m a total Lor’themar fan-girl so I really enjoyed it. Hope I get to see more of him in Shadowlands and would welcome more little stories on my favorite leader ! Thx Madeleine for a story that put a smile on my face.
