In fact it even states With the upcoming The War Within expansion, players will be able to add their alts to a warband, allowing them to share renown, reputation, bank, achievements, and more among all their alts." which clearly states that players have to add their alts. If it is account wide for all your characters why wouldn’t they just say so?
The new Warbands system being introduced in The War Within will encompass all of the characters on a player’s Battle.net account as well as the items, collections, and progression they share.
Is that clear enough for you?
So I wonder why they waited so long to make that statement especially since players have been asking the question since its announcement. I think they were going to try and limit them but got a ton of negative feedback on it and released that would be a very bad idea. Thanks for sharing this though.

They did. This is the very first time they have made any clear statement on how many characters would be in the warband.
Really? If so then by all means share your source because you seem to be the only one.
This specific announcement was probably waiting for some technical questions to get resolved, especially regarding cross-realm and cross-account characters. (If you have multiple WoW licenses attached to the same Battlenet account, the warband will encompass all of them.) But they’ve said that it won’t just be the four visible characters since Blizzcon.
Your right they did say it wont be just four but they didn’t once say it would be all characters on the account. This left players guessing as to if it will be 5, 6, 7 , 8, or more that would be allowed in the warband. As much as I am looking forward to it I believe they definitely could have done a better job on the information side of it.

Its not a fancy feature, its literally just an account wide QoL update.

The term you say did NOT specify how many characters, yes it said account wide for the characters IN the Warband but not how many would be in the warband.

I think Warbands started as just changing the login screen. “Hey, let’s have 2, 3, 4 of their chrs around a campfire… that would be cool, right?”
And… it actually was such a good idea, all this other stuff sprung from there.
That’s how it feels to me. It was never MEANT to be all these cool changes to the game. It was just meant to be a cool login graphic. lol And now, the entire game is benefiting from it.
