Why are we reviewing an expansion already when the expansion still has 11.2.5 and 2.7 left and neither are out yet and so why not hold your opinions until it’s over?

.5 is remix.
.7 is probably going to be prepatch/housing preparation mostly.

Nothing new will come to WOW until next expansion… Except turbo boost, but its whatever. It’s a crap expansion (another one). So season is basically over.

First don’t flip out when I say are you new to wow? I’m saying that genuinely not sarcastic.
Folks always start reviews of expansions around this time - which is when blizzard themselves are slowing shifting to telling us about the next expansion.
Today there’s a Q&A on midnight (which I won’t see until work is done tonight and subsequently I’m not holding my breath for anything all that exciting) - pretty good example that the peeps that make the game are wrapping up TWW.

It was over when 11.2 dropped, that was the last content patch for this expansion. Anything else isn’t adding more content to the game.

As far as I’m concerned it’s over every time I log out.
The major plot beats are in place, as is the last raid. We’re only missing the denouement, so it’s pretty fair to begin an after-action review.
I mean it’s because the story is done. We will get an epilogue story in 11.2.7. But it’s basically over.

Those are minor patches, anything to seriously review has already happened. What’s here is here, .5+ patches are always minor things.

Says end of February (speculative)
11.2.5 comes out next Tuesday and contains no new content for Retail. It is focused on Legion Remix.
11.2.7 is going to focus on Housing and Midnight’s prepatch. It is doubtful it will add to TWW.

That’s probably the early release date with the normal release date being March 2nd.
