Hey friends, I tried opening a support ticket, but I keep receiving bot replies that don’t address my problem. Maybe someone here knows what can be done.
I bought the epic edition of The War Within about a month ago, and yesterday, someone sent it to me as a gift. I don’t know HOW they were able to send me something I already had as a gift, but they were.
I told my friend I already had it and to refund it. I have not claimed this gift. It’s still pending on my gifts page. Apparently, they can’t refund it because it is a gift, so I opened a support ticket, and I can’t refund it because it was not purchased from my account.
Has anyone had this happen? Why was my friend able to give me something I already had? Normally, when I send gifts, I get a notification when I’m trying to gift something the person already has.
The system probably did not have the ability to see you had it already, but also you can have more then 1 wow game license, and it can be applied on all 8 you could potentially have owned.
My guess is the self help refund system initially declined it, but your friend should persue it with a follow up ticket.
Generally speaking, the system checks the purchases account. Additionally, you can have more than one WoW license on an account, so that you already have it doesn’t mean you can’t purchase it again for an additional WoW license.
It isn’t your purchase, so we likely cannot assist you there. Your friend absolutely should be able to refund the purchase, even if it was a gift.
From what I can see they are using the self-help refund option, which is a bit limited in scope and likely why they are getting declined. They’ll want to open a ticket. They should be able to use this link.
