Is it a closer-to-level-cap choice? I haven’t been keeping up on anything aside from class and cosmetics so it’s all nice and fresh for launch.
I believe at cap you make your “final decision”; I like the Kyrian ability for my MM Hunter personally but I’m waiting to see the others before I committ.
That was the opinion I got. You level through the zones, meet the covenants, and make your choice max level. Or at least after you meet them all.
Either way, after seeing the kyrian stuff, I just figured I’d roll them on my main anyways. If I even play it. The Kyrians look cool, I like angels, and they’ve got a neat spear for warriors.
be the change you wish to see in the world
become what you must
is it safe to assume you don’t like fantasy settings with a malleable reality inside the universe and outside with the writers?
SO FUNNY STORY ABOUT MY MAG’HAR (who is not from AU Draenor but an Outland one that’s now old enough to Do Stuff)
I still wish we’d just gotten the Outland mag’har but I was able to finally make mine and just pretend and he’s gorgeous so I won’t complain much
Their covenant is kind of freaky though. It’s like Xera x 1000 to become a Kyrian.
Would have been so much more immersive, but they had to make Yrel evil and the Light super mean. (Granted I like the direction they took Yrel, I just don’t like how it’s the end of her story)
Making them Outland mag’har would be as easy as saying the Sunwell is the cause for darker skinned blood elves.
But instead we had to paint the previously warmongering mag’har as victims, trivialize the Light (further) with having it be absolute and oppressive, and have draenei be CUH-RAZY villains because reasons.
(and then have the mag’har allied race claim that they have a legit stake in Azeroth now)
Lore hurts to think about these days. I’m sure they’ll be spun in a positive Light and honestly?! It’s good to be bad.
It’s bad to be good.
I am the baddie.
Well they’re not really bad. It’s more that they sort the souls out and they have to be unbiased. So they make you a blank copy of your past self. It makes sense that they would do this, but it is still freaky.
Uther seems to be Uther still, idk. Maybe its not as “blank copy” as it appears.
That’s fair. But no one can tame Uther! (except Terenas)
I don’t want to invite any in-depth lore stuff because I want all that to be shiny and new (woo) for launch day but this sounds like the Purifiers in Starcraft.
very mixed feelings about y’rel because i like alliance aggression showing up when it finally does but i think they dropped the ball very hard on how they showed it in the mag’har scenario
I am happy for people who wanted AU orcs but man did it cost a lot and Outlands would’ve been a simpler option that didn’t come with… everything else.
Nobody can tame Sint, either! That’s why if I play Shadowlands I’ll be rolling Sint as a Kyrian, even if they’re never made playable. Blue angel justicar people? SIGN ME UP!
Tbh, if you look at the Bastion hard enough, you can see Protoss inspiration.
Agreed. It’s also probably never going to be expanded on and we’re only going to get the Mag’har perspective. And the perspective we are getting is from a Mag’har who literally wants to genocide Draenei.
What I like about the Yrel development is that it offers the idea of how susceptible the Draenei are to corruption without Velens leadership. It was shown via Kil’jaden and Archimonde, but the lack of leadership of AU Velen cements the idea that without him, the Draenei would have been completely lost.
wow I say the Wyrmresta Accord Alliance should wage war on Emerald dream horde.
Wyrmrest accord is a better server in every way alliance would win against emerald dream horde and Horde Wrym would win against Alliance Emerald dream.
Easy job for us.
I say BRING IT Emerald Dream
we’ll only do this for you if you promise to give me a vaccine for the G-Virus
This is the same type of RPer that will harass someone for RPing a dragon.
