I’m similiar. Tho I can play boosted chars it is harder and most end up ignored.
I can’t play male characters. Early on I made several male characters cus I didn’t want to get harassed but ultimately said “feck it” and deleted the lowbie males and appearance or race changed the high level ones. Now I don’t do male character at all. I think I have a couple on my account for derping around and such. Though I can connect with most races but I need some kind of story or lore for them even if Id on’t RP. Like Vel here is my baby I’ve had her for so long and I found a way to make all of her race changes cannon. (Long story short, she’s a banshee who possesses different bodies).
Like I can do it with any race in theory but I need to have something pull me in for it. So I don’t have any Draenei. I really want a Draenei but I just can’t find any class option for them that appeals to me for some reason. I also have trouble with playing humans much because I can’t relate to traditional fantasy humans like AT ALL. I tend to relate to the more exotic.
Oddly I have the exact opposite issue with Forsaken where I am drawn to them super strongly but I can’t get past their bones clipping through their gear. It bothers me to no end. It’s not even that the bones bother me. It’s just that it destroys my transmog. Same reason I doubt I’ll ever seriously play a mechagnome. So glad SL seems to be fixing that. For now been getting my Forsaken lore itch scratched from a blood elf death knight.
I loved nightborne so much when I played legion and really upset that they don’t have the same aura about them that the npcs do. Plus and overwhelming lack of customization. They’re too short, their eyes don’t squint and their customization is somehow worse then KT humans which bliz said theirs was only bad because they had to build their skeleton from the ground up. So cosmetics can ruin races that vibe with me. I hope bliz does go back and add more option to allied races even if it isn’t at launch of SL.
