Want to succeed in M+? Here's how

I see. The pace of dungeons sort of clashes with one of the cornerstone shortcomings of your class. Not an easy thing to work around. I hope your locks get some love soon. One silver lining that probably won’t help is some people don’t care about warlock dps and just value their healthstones, soulstones and portals more. One recent group had a lock with very low dps. The leader made a point to mention that damage was not the reason he invited the lock, but the utility. This must have been in the past week or so. Not to downplay your point, just trying to ease the frustration a little :frowning: I know from experience that loving an underperforming class is not fun

I figured the best way to succeed at m+ was to roll a meta class.

probably the best way to show you have no idea what ur talking about

every class can succeed. im a fury warrior. i have absolutely no utility; no aoe stun or hard CC and my only raid CD is harmful in weeks where we have modifiers that hurt us based on health %

if you want to use your class as an excuse, can’t stop you but ur way off

A fallacy. Sure, having certain things makes it much easier but with a competent group of PLAYERS nearly anything is viable. I struggle to get into keys outside of my normal group BECAUSE I’m a warrior. What do warriors bring to the table that a DH or Rogue doesn’t do better? We have no hard CC, no AoE stun ability, and marginal self-sustain. I basically walk into a dungeon shouting MUSCLE WIZARD CAST FIST! Still, though, when I DO get into outsider keys I still have good success because I know the dungeon inside and out.

Ok. Lets take it back a step and just accept it was a light hearted joke.

Or just attack me again.

Whatever works for you.

I certainly didn’t mean to make you feel attacked, good sir. Sorry if I have.

it WaS juST A JOKE

Thank you for explaining how the fallacy makes it harder for you to get into groups.

Success and entrance are not mutually exclusive. :stuck_out_tongue: I should have taken your initial post in the spirit of its posting, to be honest. You posted about rolling a meta class while maining a shaman. The joke was lost on me apparently!

our self sustain isn’t that bad imo. i would argue fury is probably the most durable dps in mythics.

i feel very hard to kill with warpaint

I mean it’s good PROVIDED we have Enraged Regen available OR lots of things are dying rapidly so as to reset victory rush. Otherwise it’s kinda “meh.” You’re right, though, I feel durable with Warpaint. I was more referring to the self-heal that many classes have available to them. DH souls, paladin heals, even rogue’s crimson vial all feel easier to manage.

I am curious - how does this IO thing function? Is it per account or per toon? I looked myself up and looked at legion, which was the last time I did mythics and my IO score was like, 450ish? Is that good? I am wondering because I was doing mythics ranging anywhere from your basic 0 up to 11s’, 12s etc… I also switched between my DPS character and my healer so I guess that also doesn’t give a good representation of my abilities? Obviously I am capable of doing the mythics but the IO shows me low?

I just remember trying to queue for keystones and even for like a ten it would say something like 1200+ IO, now I am looking and thinking of the ones I did and why they didn’t really count for any type of decent score?

Blah whatever. … It did suck being denied for something that I had already done many times before, and successfully at that, just because of some stupid scoring system.

It does suck getting declined for groups. But it happens to all of us. 1500 players will not take 500 players. Maybe not even 1000 players. But guess what? 2300 players will not take those same 1500 players! It’s just the nature of an activity with an infinite difficulty curve. Just like how people climbing Mount Everest will never bring someone who has only climbed their local hill. It’s the very nature of competitive content. This is the part where people need to suck it up, face reality, and do what they can to improve. It is the only possible solution.

To be fair downloading 8.1 as we speak cant wait to test out all the changes…

I have some misgivings especially about DK nerfs but happy their buffing my Holy preist.

Game should be ok still I hope also dislike fact I cant delete bad keys anymore.

OP is trying to give suggestions for people to improve their game. Lots of people use RIo. If they follow these simple steps their score will likely go up.

yes, the “15%” of max Hp nerf is a little daunting. That abliity has kept me up when i should have died again numerous times. The DS changes sounds good but WotN nerfs without buffing the other two talents? Eesh. I’m sure it will be fine. Bonestorm was pretty pointless during necrotic weeks anyway.

Still doable I mean DK is staying top dog that nerf isnt enough to put the old dog down…

But ya its going to restrict how much I can pull so timer will be tighter.
