Basically title, it’s so wierd that i can play retail or even classic era and just pug raids but whenever i log into wotlk to level lfg chat is just Horded with GDKP post so it makes me have zero interest to level just to enter that whole gold grinding/ token buying/ illegal gold buying ecosystem.

I gdkp because every other form of raiding is bad
With gdkp I don’t have to tolerate bad players because they are guildies or friends everyone is log checked
I don’t have to commit to a raiding schedule that I did not create because gdkps are always happening
I don’t have to put up with the dumb loot council or trial period that guilds do in order to get full BIS before you
Wrath sucks without gdkp
You just want a carry

PuGing in WotLK Classic is impossible, unless you RMT your way in.
If you can’t find a group of friends or guild to get going with, you might as well not play at all.
Whenever people talk bad about gdkp I know it’s because their character and parses and gold are all VERY LOW

Faerlina has constant SR and Ms>Os 10 & 25 raids every day at all hours of the day. Its also has GDKPs and tons of guilds doing normal guild things. Maybe you should transfer to a populated server like Faerlina and if you’re on a mega server like Faerlina then you’re a obvs troll.

The same happened with boosting on retail till they made channels for it.
Not really new, just more groups on retail with crossrealm.
Have yet to run a single gdkp. Plenty of SR and MS/OS runs as well.
Again this seems to be lies pushed by people who want wrath to fail for some reason.

I never RMT or token bought gold ever, but I still managed to get 2 alts to 5.5k+ gs from fresh blues and sidereal gear as well as sitting on 60k gold. Also cancelled my sub and fund my sub purely from tokens bought with GDKP net profit income.
You need to be smart about how you approach GDKP- do not play a caster, roll one or a few healers (any spec is great) to buy min bid mp5 gear and dont buy high value DPS bis items in order to funnel the profit into a DPS alt you want to play. Also, bad players will not be invited to GDKPs unless you are a giga buyer so as a legit non gold buying GDKP player, you need to be skilled and have proven logs on your main.
GDKPs also have far better average player quality over MS>OS and SR runs as a result making the raiding experience far more enjoyable.
You can farm H++ and buy cheap crafted 245s and a greatness and do a few normal togc’s and ulduars, be 5k gs and be ready to roll as a semi-buyer in a 50/50 gdkp. Absolutely no need to buy gold to participate in GDKP.

I self farmed 20k by grinding the fire elementals at storm peaks next to the hodir rep guy as well as getting a lucky je tze’s bell drop for 5k in first week of launch and used that as my starting budget to get accepted into my first ulduar gdkp on my naxx 10 and 25 geared priest alt gained from my guilds alt runs. People who RMT make my pot bigger so honestly I don’t care if people want to waste thousands of USD to gear up a BIS character 8 resets earlier than doing it completely free

I hear ya. I’m starting to play WotLK (Horde-side) now. Mainly because RDF is coming back.
Screw raiding.
Why don’t you post your parses for us all to see so we have something to aspire to.
