Wait Sylv is supposed to be evil?

so let me get this straight…

Genn attacks sylv during a peace time truce in legion

so sylv blows up an alliance city

isn’t that happens if you attack? the other side declares war and does the same?

retaliation is evil? what did Genn expect was going to happen?

“Someone attacked me, how dare they. All I did was kill their kid, murder their countrymen, and blight their city in an effort to completely wipe them out. Therefore, my reasonable response it to attempt to genocide a third party. I see no problem with this response.”

Really man?

not really an accurate summary as sylv would be the equivalent of like the president

so ya if the leader of Canada tried to kill the usas leader what would happen? even if they had some grudge not really worth

and the nelves were not a random third party lol

also it was not ‘attempted’ genocide

The Alliance’s dog whose child I killed looked at me grumpily and smacked my boy toy around, I’m justified in butchering an entire nation, killing my own civilians, and murdering my own troops.

-Sylvanas probably

If the leader of canada tried to kill the president of the united states. The leader of canada would be taken down. Not all of canada, and definitely not england.

Someone attacking you, for trying to literally wipe them, and their entire kingdom off the face of the world (Unprovoked mind you) and killing your family, is a pretty reasonable response in my personal opinion.

Your completely ignoring -everything- that happened in Gilneas.

those troops were being overrun so she used artillery on them

they were dead anyways and knew it

that’s how I would want to go, holding the line as my friends got away

Sounds like a defeatist attitude to me.

Also Sylvanas is blatantly, unadulterated evil.

There is not a single bit of doubt in this.

Sorry, not sorry.

gilneas was a past war they were in a peace time

genn cant really do that in rage and pull your entire faction into a world war

Their battle in Stormheim was a personal one. They weren’t representing their factions, it was just doing their own things. And Sylvanas started it by attacking Gilneas in the first place. The war in BfA has absolutely nothing to do with her dispute with Genn.

Many soldiers aren’t going to be happy to die by their own leader’s hands rather than die taking down what enemies they can. Orcs, Tauren, and Trolls are proud warriors and the way they died is traumatic and horrific. You might want that, but we don’t know if they did. We do know they got no say in the matter, and that’s a horrific way to go.

Honestly they were all probably questioning her as Warchief so she put them on the front lines to die so she could have more yes men and boot lickers to continue pretending she’s a good, just leader.

I tried to warn people but they keep feeding him.

There was still a grudge, of Sylvanas, literally murdering thousands of gilneas, through the means of blight, and personally murdering Genn’s child.

If she was to retaliate against Genn, for him retaliating against her. You could -almost- justify that.

But her response was not remotely justifiable, especially when you take into account -everything else- she’s done this expansion.

Sylvanas is blatantly evil. There is no grey here.

I don’t condone Greymane attacking Sylvanas.

However, I will also not condemn him, because I fully understand why he did it.

Sylvanas constantly does blatantly evil things, and rarely -ever- has to suffer consequences for it. It’s everyone around her that suffers for it.

I seriously cannot wait for Karma to catch up to her, and give her -everything- she deserves.

The truce that was obviously broken by Sylvanas abandoning the field, according to Genn - and we know that’s what he thinks, because of Blizzard’s very obvious and hand-holdy story telling with the different cinematics, and Genn yelling ‘I KNEW WE COULDN’T TRUST HER!’ . Genn might be WRONG (and he is, wildly, and often) but he didn’t break the peace time truce. (according to Genn, who is wrong)

The alliance blows up a few ships (4-5 if I recall), as well as the military personnel and some bat riders (presumably, all who signed up for it)… so that equates to burning an entire city and a tree that’s 10,000 years old. Coolcoolcoolcoolcool.

ya well instead of attackin on sight he should of asked why they left as a normal person would

you don’t go into a rage and draw your faction into a world war

I try to see the best in people, so I want to believe you’re intentionally missing the irony of that statement.
