Sigh. Still havenāt done Christmas cards, not sure what happened to the ones we got I hadnāt opened yet, canāt find them.
And I need to make dinner tonight: Chicken Francese. At least I like my cookingā¦
Bothā¦ turn the hamburgers into tacosā¦ use that bun as a shell!
That sounds delicious!
Iāve had it a couple of times and really liked it, but Iāve never made it. Iām gonna have to try.
Just lemon, white wine, and butter for the sauce?
See this is why I like Night Elves, yaāll always thinking outside the box
That doesnāt always go as planned. coughwaroftheancientscough
The were delicious!
I made them American style tonight. I like both, so gotta switch it up.
Whatās American style?
Seasoned beef, cheese, picco, guacamole salsa, picante sauce, and sour cream in corn or flour tortilla.
My regular tacos are seasoned beef or chicken, onions, cilantro, guacamole salsa, and a squeeze of lime on a lightly fried tortilla. Much more authentic Mexican.
Iām tracking. Either sounds pretty scrumdidiliumptious, but onions and cilantro were always on the street tacos Iād get back in LA
Pretty much, yup.
I coat the chicken in flour mixed with salt, pepper and a bit of smoked paprika (just like that smokey background taste), fry in olive oil and butter until golden brown. Set them aside.
Throw chopped onions (or a shallot if I have) into the pan, cook until clear, deglaze with the wine, then add lemon juice, butter and a little chicken broth (I like sauce) and then throw the chicken back in to heat/cook a little.
Pretty simple, really.
see my gif.
Alchemical magic, is all I read to my culinary neophyte eyes
Esp that part about degaussing wine or whatever. Yeah, when we start introducing electromagnetism Iām done. Or, cooked, as the yewts say.

De-glaze. A fancy word to use liquid (wine, broth, water) to get the brown bits off the bottom of the pan and into your sauce-to-be.
That word is made
