WAGGLE Megalounge and Thread (Part 7)

He wasn’t wrong in his theory. I 100% read things voraciously if the author connects themselves and their passion into their topics. When you can feel that love of subject, even though you only know the bare minimum, you can’t help but be drawn in.

i actually remember very little from him in college, i just won’t easily forget his book “On Writing Well”

and by that…i…mainly mean the title :face_with_peeking_eye:

BUT IT’S DAMN GOOD TITLE!

oh…are you’re referencing me omitting the indefinite article? i was trying to invoke a sensation of impatiently, nay, brazenly, wanting to make a point, however weak and hastily done it may have been!

Hey now, being brazen is reserved for Draenei. Says so right here in the contract.

dumps brazen on shanaera

English was my second major, so I know his basic concepts fairly well. I expected I’d have to write and edit a bunch of academic or medical literature, so it went hand in hand to knock out both degrees. Now though, grammarly, chatgpt, and a number of other programs do 85% of the work, save for some of the citation. Consequently, I’ve gone the way of the youth and rarely adhere to good writing practices. You can just copy text into a window and the program will tell you just how much you’ve let your language skills devolve. It’s depressively entertaining.

huh, i’ve never seen a contract like this before…it’s just…a bunch of symbols…

i’ve never explored these. Though, what little writing I do is for manuals, checklists, procedures. Hmm…

Well technically, that’s all letters and numbers are, is symbols. But I can bring in the union translator…

It’s not something one dumps on someone, I could for example suggest that all belves are ‘Brazen Hussies’

darn proud of it.

The programs probably won’t give you too much feedback on that type of technical writing. It’s already pretty concise. Research/experiment methodology sections, which also tend to be step by step in procedures, are also a category that don’t loop back a whole lot of info. Still, it never hurts to try. You might get tagged for redundancy. Sometimes using the same word or phrase too often perks up their criticism algorithms.
