It’s Saturday morning, and I have nothing better to do, so


We have 4.5 billion years until the collision. That means that the stack will get shorter by 2.22 x 10^12 Yaos per year.

Pulling a number out of my hat, I’m going to say that it takes thirty seconds to stack a Yao. (Stacking dudes that tall ain’t easy.) So we can stack 
 2 x 60 x 60 x 24 x 365.25 = 63,115,200 Yaos per year.

Now that we know how much taller the stack gets each year, and by how much the required stack shrinks per year 
 the tallies meet somewhere in the middle.

And that time is 4.45 billion years. By which time, we’ll have been able to stack up 2.84 x 10^17 Yaos.

The truly shocking thing? That stack is only sixty-seven and a half light years tall. Out of what? Two and a half million?

It’s almost like stacking up absurdly tall basketball players isn’t worth doing.
