can someone assauge my fears about switching from physical authenticator to the battle net one? heard so many horror stories. someone sell me on this application. note that i am using android phone.

It works fine. I’ve been using the app-based authenticator for years, never had any trouble with it.
The problem with the hardware token is that, sooner or later, that tiny battery will give up the ghost. You will have to deal with its end-of-life scenario sooner or later, so why not do it now?
no im talking about the brand new battle net authenticator. that’s what they force you to use now. the app based authenticator and the battle net authenticator are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT APPS. the authenticator app im wasnt worriedabout seemed no problems. battle net app on the other hand that YOU HAVE TO USE FOR THE PHONE AUTHENTICATOR NOW however,
I haven’t had any issues with that one either.
