I’m still hoping she’s a double agent because she switched sides faster than we learned anything about her.
That or the story is being rushed in favor of the next expansion.

We like…killed a bunch of “rebels”, on her orders, too. Before we get to the part of the quest where she even asks them what’s wrong. She’s the worst.
I think it’s the later. Rush story for the next expac.
From the first second that we saw Vyranoth’s visage form it was obvious they would have her not be a true villain. But yeah, it does smell like they made some content cuts so we may have missed out on some of the journey to finding that out.
Specially since 10.1.7 starts with a scene where ysera’s grandkid is kidnapped, with no context. And by the next patch he will be free already.
I’m just saying. The writing for Alexstrazsa is what happens when you let a bunch of different writers handle a bunch of different quests for the red dragonflight over the years. Eventually, NPCs sending us out to murder-hobo for their boss starts to make their boss look reprehensible.
Imagine getting this tilted over a fictional setting.
I wonder if Alexstrasza will survive DF given her role as ‘Life-binder’?
I know her name has been datamined on an item, however, that might just be place-holder, or in memoriam.
Blizz keeps avoiding that topic being brought up given how Wrathion was conceived against his moms will
Wrathion touched a lot on being an experiment in 10.1, but that was in opposition on how Sabellyan felt towards the aberrus experiments and slitherdrakes.
She disagrees with Fyrakk allying with the Druids of the Flame, his desire to turn the new world tree into an fire infused mess and can also see her friend losing himself to the void via the Shadowflame. Not to mention the torture of a green dragon for information. Vyranoth still sees the titan infused dragons as her kin. She just wished it was an individual choice to become infused.
Basically she feels Fyrakk has crossed the line and needs to be stopped before he begins to hurt his own forces.
Because she said to her brother " Settle down, Beavis.". But Fyrakk laughed and called her a bunghole.
So she was like “Burning things and killing people is not the incarnate way!” However:
…i’m still assuming Vyranoth will betray us if the Primalist Future is to happen.
I keep hoping she’s an unwitting sleeper agent, like the Manchurian Candidate.
Someone will whisper the trigger phrase into her ear and she’ll kill Alexstraza with a precision karate chop to the windpipe. Then bycicle-kick Kalegos off the balcony before leaping into the ventilation system and vanishing from the story.
She is a nice lady. I collapsed skulls gladly for my Queen and the uncollapsed ones when she asked for my advice I advised her to remind them of their place. She didn’t agree so I defer to my Queen’s judgement. As for vyranoth, yeah we know. Your best friend sent you to jail for ten thousand years. But that’s what happens when you forget you are not the queen bee. Or in this case Queen dragon, so fall in line and obey. As you’re doing now. And you’ll be fine!
Deep Fried Gnome Fingers
I see…
Alexstrasza doesn’t negotiate with terrorists.
I’m so salty that wasn’t a real fight where we really got to kill Wrathion.
The phrase “if you can’t beat 'em, join 'em” comes to mind…
I know they’d never do it, but if she was playing us the whole time and talked Wrathion and Chromie and the rest into rebelling against Alexstrasza in a future patch, that would be genuinely great.
Yeah, this was confusing
Interesting point of view. Do you take a sip of cold water to cleanse your pallet before you eat, or is boot-flavor just your base-line?
Because “villain with ideals turns on their comrades the moment there’s a minor disagreement in the handling of things”.
Bit of a tangent, but I think it’s really lame how they’ve made Fyrakk to just be a totally deranged lunatic with no regards for the other Incarnates.
Like, I get it’s probably meant to be “oh he’s corrupted now” but there’s zero hint of him having some kind of internal struggle with voices in his head, it comes off as if he never cared about the others or the cause he was fighting for.
It just kinda feels like the interesting Incarnates have been removed from the plot (Raszageth died releasing the others and Iridikron already noped out of this expansion) leaving us with the duo of “I’m a monster with a heart” & “Kill! Kill kill kill kill kill!”
