Usually I try to strike a compromise with the people who want high elves (aka alliance aligned blood elves with blue eyes) by saying "maybe we could ask for more cosmetic options in the void elf category." Same with the vampire elves.
I would also love to see dark rangers as a cosmetic option for forsaken.

My compromise suggestion has usually been "Let them have a normal skin color and blond & white hair options at the very least XD" Like... At the very least, ya know?
But we are kinda getting off topic now haha. I feel like this is a time of celebration in the community as this new Allied Race system opens up a foundation for so much opportunity for everyone who has wanted to play certain races.
08/25/2018 05:23 PMPosted by Fallynn*hugs* You da REAL MVP! Sorry, had to say it. But it's true. You know our communities appreciate the hard work you put in to support us, and your well thought-out posts put a smile to my face. :)
Awww, thanks, I appreciate your kind words. Honestly, I can not stop singing praises about pretty much all of the Allied Race communities. Keep being awesome, all of you.
Statistically there's probably still going to be a considerably higher amount of players playing races based on the current Horde species than the vulpera. As I play this game I don't see more Worgen than humans, night elves, or draenei. Vulpera may be popular, but you'll still see a lot of orcs, trolls, blood elves, forsaken and tauren.
People freaking out and saying 'the furries are coming' probably forgot that Worgen and Feral druids have been around for years now. The world gets bigger, new places are discovered, alliances made. The theme of this expansion is a growing war, embattled people coming together against their foes. As we play the game we're helping different people that'll come into play and even join our faction as we help theirs.
History lesson, slaves often join the faction that helps them gain their freedom; that's Horde for the vulpera. In war do you really think they'll care about the looks of who they're getting help from? It's all about the relationship.
They messed that up with the first allied races, dividing them among the already established faction species; even though they're almost all neutral. Hell, weren't the demon hunter's neutral too, focused on the war against the Legion and not their race? I don't know if the bonds of brotherhood fostered there will die since the Legion's gone and this lesser war is happening; but I'm new to this game.

I almost teared up when I came back after my bedtime to find this discussion waiting for me. I am so proud of everyone here for staying true to the spirit of respectful debate. I couldn't be more proud
Thank you
Thank you
Such beautiful logic specially from a proper individual who admits hate to a race type but doesn't mind or care that other people might like them as well wish more were like that around here.
Also on the Vulpera part about mounts a few days ago, what about a Trained Buzzard? they look really cool perched on there flight paths what if we gave them that? nothing says racial mounts have to be purely ground mounts after all.

Im in love with the Vulpera concept and story telling.
Looking forward to see those guys playable in the future, I think they would bring many new players into the game. (:

Adding my love for Vulpera. I'm 95% personally convinced they are going to be playable but we will see. :)
Without a doubt these people are true fighters and traders. Throughout my entire questing experience in Vol'dun. I couldn't help to notice the thrill of this race really acting on their predator instinct to put the Seth'rak in its place. Plus literally it's extremely similar to how the Og Horde let the Trolls and Tauren here. Heavily troubled races that did not stop to raise their banner to fight in order to survive, oh boy when saw that in Nisha it was just seemed like Pb&j. Plus not only that but they seem to have a strong sense of trading and economics just like Goblins do. Another race that can potentially make the Horde far more economical faction. Those are huge assets that not once I ever saw this race as a liability (unlike those turtles). May they raise their banner with pride and honor. If they don't use them as an playable race. I want them to still be apart of Horde because they have easily shown they have the qualities.
Anyone notice they have 3+ different ear types and the males have more fur/fuzz on there cheeks compared to females? just finished my WQ runs on vol'dun and noticed that.

I'd rather be a snake person
Bringing this up again because people are whining about Vulpera again, have my bump!

That will only bring those people here, and the battle begins all over again!
Ah to hell with it. I'm down for a good ol' scrap. Blades at the ready, gents!

Fangs at the ready for me, of course. Let's do this. FOR VULPERA! Be swift, be clever....

Vulpera is such a cute race, I really wish to racechange to one if the racials arent "nightborne-y" (aka ultra trashness of trashful)

Nightborne have the best racial in the game, what are you talking about?
Now you don't have to wait until the next time you're in town to get rid of all the garbage the postmaster sends you!
Just wanted to let you all know I have been reading through this thread every time it pops back up.
I want Vulpera as much as you guys!

You know I was thinking. One of the big things people seem to have against the Vulpera is the cute. They're too cute to be part of the Horde with their jokes and singing. Personally, I think this fits right in with foxes. In real nature, foxes use cuteness as a weapon. They jump and run and roll around and act all cute and silly, right in full view of their prey. The prey thinks the fox isn't after them or doesn't see them and eventually let's their guard down, just a fox teeth enter their neck.
The Vulpera seem to be the same way. They act all cute and fun, but seem to have no problem turning deadly serious when they have to, catching others off guard at how vicious they suddenly are.
I have no doubt that despite her fun attitude and singing ways, if you tried to hurt Dolly and Dot Meerah would cut your throat and leave you to the sands without missing a beat.
