Vulpera Discussion Megathread (Part 1)

They do need water just like any living creatures it’s thanks to their ears they can handle the desert heat since it dissipate the hot temperatures for them.

I didn’t say they don’t need water, only that they don’t need to drink. Like fennecs, they may get all the moisture they need exclusively from food like fruit and juicy bugs and rodents. If mana has some association with water or using mana dehydrates you (making you need to drink yo recover) then a species trying to conserve water might evolve to not use or be able to use mana

I suppose but I feel mana wouldn’t be excluded from them maybe they could have a better pool for managing mana since they can retain their hydration better?

From the way this sounds maybe they will be able to use less mana to use spells in regards to other races?

Edit: The wise Blood Elves has spoken.

Actually a mana conserving racial would be a pretty neat direction to use that theme too

It could also maybe work for monks and rogues for their stamina too.

They pretty much are meant for the Horde the species they are based off are natural pack animals and what’s the definition of “Horde”?

They also fit the perfect model for Thrall’s horde ideal of slave races and the like uniting in a world that would harm or abuse them.

Can I hunt and skin them, then use their hides to make expensive leather armor I can sell on the AH?

Or turn them into helicopters

Sure! That’s fine with me

There’s a small vulpera questline in the Withering Gulch that’s all about getting water. However, it’s to restore the Gulch rather than just drinking.

The discord pointed out the vulpera innkeeper sells prickly pear juice. That may mean they at least like to drink sometimes but may also just mean that they just stock it to sell because they know other races will pay top dollar for it to stave off death

If their bodies are adapted for moisture retention, then they’d probably smell quite awful.

I don’t see why not, that’s exactly what they’d do to anyone who failed to kill them.

Foxes are uh… rather stinky creatures in real life. We can probably assume the vulpera have what you could refer to as an “aura”

And people say they wouldn’t fit in with the horde. scoff

Offensive body odor. Horde confirmed.

Please explain how you plan on using skins to make a helicopter?
If you roll a d20 and get a 20 we will let you do it.

He’s referencing a pandaria quest where you collect fox corpses to make a helicopter drone.

No, it’s not really well explained how those two things are connected.

Also, this post officially brings this thread to 3000 replies! Hooray for Foxes and what I’m pretty sure is the oldest active thread on this forum!

I was actually referencing that messed up video where the guy turned his dead cat into a drone, I’d do that to the Vulpera lol
